Looking to get involved with Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary?
You can volunteer, participate in citizen science through our annual ocean count, intern with us, or participate in a beach clean up! Check out the different ways to get involved and help support this incredible place. Visit: https://hawaiihumpbackwhale.noaa.gov/involved/. (Photo: Ed Lyman/NOAA under NOAA Permit 774-1714. This is how we, the people, will end these situations we gave now. It is up to us to get involved. An easy start is to contact your local county party HQ and say you want to be a Ward/Precinct leader. Take a day off of work and work the polls.
Just get involved!

Black, Disabled, and Proud: College Students with Disabilities
We are a group of colleagues working in disability services at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Colleges and Universities (PBCUs). The project was set up as a partnership between the University of the District of Columbia, Howard University, and Syracuse University, and the Association on Higher Education And Disability (AHEAD). The project is now permanently based at AHEAD.
We have an email listserv for HBCU disability services providers, this website, research with students and HBCU professionals, and much more!
We are identifying ways to provide culturally responsive disability services and classroom instruction to Black and African American college students with disabilities on all campuses in the U.S.. By offering resources, a sense of history and community, support for students' multiple identities, and advice to those supporting and mentoring students, we're also trying to increase the number of Black and African American students with disabilities going to college, staying in college, and graduating.
In my opinion, prayer is never the answer.
Let's do more than pray for Haiti. Let's organise and get involved with gathering funds to send to help the people of Haiti to reconstruct their lives once again after a terrible disaster. Action speaks so much louder than saying a few words and expecting things to change overnight.
