Kid: Mom, you want to know the best way to beat an enemy? Turn the enemy into a friend. Me: Where did you learn that? (thinking its from the nature based day camp he’s been attending) Kid: Ninjago

Kid: (Singing in the back seat) ALEXANDER HAMILTON! You are going to die in a dual. (speaking) What?! He is, that's what they should sing. It would be a lot shorter if they just sang that.

Kid: Mom, I know how they became ninja turtles. They were crawling around and someone put some Science on them and then they put on the face masks and now they are ninja turtles. Me: Someone put Science on them? Kid: yeah

Today in the car: 7 year-old: Have words been the same for like ever? Me: No, words evolve over time and people can create new words and new meanings. 7 year-old: So words are like Pokemon?! Words evolve and change. Some words do damage, like Pokemon and some give you special powers, like Pokemon!
