Happy Customers = Sales
As we approach the holiday shopping season, I think about the stores I frequent, and of course, the ones I avoid. All of the stores on my list that I consider favorites, all share the same attribute: fantastic customer service. They stand behind their products and do whatever it takes to make me feel like I'm their top priority. While it seems like common sense, it's a concept that's often overlooked in sales-driven organizations.
I've seen a landslide of app providers recently that all claim to offer a solution to drive sales - but, when I look at their products, it's the same static content that's already available on the dealer's website. The focus instead, should be placed on assuring your current and established customers are happy. As any good sales manager will tell you, it's way easier to sell a current customer then a new one.
A colleague once told me that account management can be describe as asking a girl on a date. If you ask her out for the fall homecoming dance, and never call her again until the spring prom, you can bet she's going to say no. However, if you stay in touch with her throughout the year, and occasionally check in to see how she's doing, come prom time - you're a sure in for a date. While this is isn't the best analogy - it makes perfect sense. Happy customers are customers for life. However, if the only time you talk to them is come renewal time or when their vehicle lease is up - they are going to feel zero obligation to buy from you again.
We designed our mobile solution to establish a direct link between dealerships and their customers, while also establishing the dealership as the trusted source for ANYTHING vehicle related - service, recalls, gas prices, owners manuals, etc. Don't settle for anything less than a mobile app that's been designed from the ground up as a revenue generating juggernaut.
