The astral plane
Whenever I've visited the astral plane, it has never looked or felt exactly the same. Sometimes my view's been foggy, thick, murky and cloudy, and other times it's been as clear as my dream vision. Sometimes in between, depending on who's been there with me in the room, what time of the day it is and how far away I am from my body. A lot of times when I visited I had been excited and full of wonder, so my vibration would've been quite high. Other times, I'd been influenced by negative entities, intending fear onto me and making my experience more like a realistic nightmare. I've never been good with understanding lots of different terms for things in dreams and out-of-body experiences, related to energies and visions and beings and sounds and vibrations, so I'm going to leave that stuff out as much as I can. Basically, it's how happy you are, how safe you feel and how brave you are in that moment. That is a good, high vibration. Feeling fear and anxiety and darkness is you being at a low vibration.
With senses, I'd have to say that my hearing was a lot more intensified. I could hear things everywhere, which sounded like I had little beings covered all over me. Really, you will be hearing beings you wouldn't be seeing in the 3rd dimension - Earth, when you're awake, and there's a lot of these beings around.
You will feel a rush of opportunity come over you, especially if you've done research before your experience, where you would have learnt that you can visit your friends and family, visit dimensions, explore new areas on Earth, have conversations with deceased people and visit angels and other entities in the other realms. This can get you over excited, which can quickly end your experience if you're not careful. Energies are stronger, more influencing, and you won't feel like your usual self. You'll feel more pure, more energetic and more full of wonder, wanting to explore and see everything you possibly can. It's amazing.
You can do things that on Earth are impossible, such as flying and walking through walls. These things are a lot of fun to do, especially flying. Although you can walk around, flying is something definitely worth learning. You probably won't want to walk again!
For me, time went by very slowly, although other people have said for them time went by too quickly. To me 20 minutes felt like an hour.
Language isn't a thing either, you will speak telepathically. This means you can talk to people of any ethnicity, and even animals. It's really interesting.
The only down side to anything I would have to say is that the longer you stay out of your body, which is what you'll want to do, the harder it'll be to remember everything you've done. Sort of like a dream, you'll have to record it straight away as soon as you return back to your body. Another thing would be how there are low vibrational beings in the astral plane, who really love those who're vulnerable, and they'll frighten you and take your energy. The most important thing to remember is to be brave. When something approaches you, no matter how terrifying it might be, learning to stand up to anything is probably one of the most important things you'll learn. If you believe that being won't hurt you, it won't hurt you. If you stand up brave and full of positive energy and happiness, you're untouchable, because then you'll be at a high vibration, meaning the low vibrational beings won't reach you, although they'll try to bring you down.
One more extremely important thing is to use your imagination. Your imagination is super important when you're in the astral plane, as you can manifest things, meaning if you imagine it, it'll be there. You can manifest light surrounding you, which is an affective shield against negative entities.
Asking for help
This morning was the first time in a while since I've had anything close to an OBE. First, I had a strange dream about giant people invading someone's home, and someone telling me they're just another vessel holding a soul just like we are, only we are made of flesh and they aren't. It was pretty weird.
Then I woke up, and it was about 11.40 AM, and it was the perfect opportunity to try astral projection since I was still half asleep and vividly remembering the dream. I could feel my arm going numb because I was lying on it funny, which means I was definitely awake, and after a few minutes I was going into a sleep paralysis, tuning in to the high vibrations.
As I was tuning in, I could hear someone's voice, almost like they were humming along with the high pitched sound inside my head, except then they went on to say "please help me". The last time I went into a sleep paralysis and someone was in my room talking to me, they weren't there for good reasons, so I left straight away.
Now I feel quite bad and I'm thinking about what that person could have wanted from me, but hopefully they're there next time (and hopefully a bit more subtle)
Electric pains
Has anyone experienced sharp, electric pains while astral projecting? It happened this morning, I had this horrible electric shock feeling in my head, and every time I got further from my body it would get worse! I've done some research and a lot of people have experienced this, but I haven't found an answer to why I happens Any ideas?
First time flying!
I'm still completely speechless as I write this.
This morning, around 8:01 am, I woke up from a dream and I am very, very certain that I was awake, seeing as I had checked the time and everything. I was lying down and drifting off back to sleep when very quickly I went into a sleep paralysis. I remember lying there looking at the wall, then realising I wasn't awake, but I was in a sleep paralysis state. So, I did what I've wanted to do since the beginning and I concentrated on teleporting to the roof of my apartment.
Instead, strangely, I sort of floated up from my body and, like a helium balloon, floated up until I touched the ceiling, but then continued through the two walls of the ceiling until I reached outside on top of the roof. It was the strangest, most amazing feeling yet. In the astral plane, your senses are the same as normal, except your sight may be a little blurred or fogged, and your hearing will be a lot more intense. I was floating there on top of my roof looking up at the sky and so I decided to fly upwards, continuing and not stopping, until I felt worried I would go too far. I started flying down and went towards some kind of store, passing a man who looked very confused about my presence. I kept on going and found myself in an area with lots of, what looked like, low vibrational beings, although none of them were paying attention to me.
It was very strange and after a little while of flying around I remembered that I needed to get up soon and it felt like I had been there for a while, so I rushed back to my body and then I woke up. It was very hard accepting reality for a bit as soon as I had awoken, but I told my brother straight away. I also checked the time to see how long I had been gone for and it was then 8:35 AM
A lot of it felt like just a lucid dream, but I was absolutely certain that it couldn't have been. I learnt how to fly properly and passed a few astral beings. It was cool.
Spirit guides??
My last OBE, until recently, happened quite awhile ago during the same time as when I was regularly having encounters with an astral vampire. This still confuses me today and I do think about it a lot, but I've come to the closest conclusion I can think of.
One night I was in my room, basically awake til quite late, very upset since me and my ex had just broken up that day. I was lying in bed and began to drift off into sleep, when I was awoken by sleep paralysis. Weird, right? I woke up to my body paralysing and then hearing the strange vibrations in the room, realising it was the astral vampire again (and by this point I was getting pretty fed up with it). I got out of the paralysis as soon as I could, feeling scared and feeling the presence of something in the room. So now I was really sad AND really scared. After a while I began drifting off again and the same thing happened - I went into a sleep paralysis, except there were no low vibrations in the room and no dark figure. I was paralysed, lying there, but very happy and comforted. In my room I had a couch and an armchair, and on them were about 4-6 people just talking to each other, laughing and sitting as if I wasn't even there. Like they were just hanging out in my room. It was the most lovely feeling, there was no fear and I wasn't feeling lonely any more.
I can't exactly remember what they looked like, but they were human, and I remember almost specifically what the girl sitting on the arm rest of the arm chair looked like. She had medium-length dark brown hair that was quite curly, and I swear she was wearing some sort of dress up mask (actually quite similar to one I already owned). But they were all sitting and just laughing and talking with each other, paying no attention to me. I just lay there and eventually came out of the paralysis and felt protected, happy and peaceful. I wasn't even upset about my ex for the rest of that night, and fell asleep right away.
It was amazing, and reading into everything now it makes sense that they could've been my spirit guides. Either way, they got rid of the astral vampire and made me feel completely at peace and protected.
