Ovarian Cancer Research is important because the survival rate of Ovarian Cancer is only 17%. It’s almost always discovered in a later stage because the symptoms are so benign. We need more research to find better ways of treating this morbid disease. I am currently undergoing treatment for my first relapse. This is a disease that is incurable. Best hopes for most of us with Ovarian Cancer is getting long remissions in the hopes of living long enough to find a better way to treat it. Something that keeps it from constantly coming back. I myself am currently looking into a new clinical trial on Immunotherapy for Ovarian Cancer. The hopes are if it works, then I could possibly be cured. We need the support for the research that could possibly change the fate of those like me facing a morbid disease such as this.
