One of our favorite morning activities is waking up to see one of my plants knocked over and trying to clean up the mess while this nutty kitten Shamu slides across the nice tidy dirt pile I just made. So those caterpillars have eaten a lot of my plants in like 2 days..... so I pulled up the plants and 🐛caterpillars and gave it all to the chickens!! 😑 don't really like killing them,, but this is a * eat my veggies and my chickens eat you* world! So I ve looked up how to stop them.. and that's what I found - what they are and what to do. Probably too late for some things - but once the carrots and beers are out - I ok have turnip and more parsnips going in - so I ll use it then. Hopefully keep the caterpillars- pigeons - and bunnies out!! But I m glad I found out this year - so when we go bigger next year - I m prepared. The sods will even eat into veg and fruit!! We ll be building some frames as soon as it stops raining! ( 🙄 if ever!!)
