@myriod / a wild hapi has appeared
“What’s with the looks, huh? Haven’t you ever seen a mess of a girl running to her usual cafe and making even more of a mess? I need caffeine to function right now, my day’s just that shitty. Mind your own buisness!”
Hapi was unable to stop the words from coming out the moment she began speaking. Was it because she was that tired, or because she was trying to prevent any possible issues? She didn’t know for sure. She DID know that she had, accidentally, stayed up way too late streaming a horror game last night on her channel. Which, in turn, made her sleep in and that caused her to miss her first class for the day. Luckily, she only had one more in-person class that day. Unluckily, however; that wasn’t for another two hours and she wasn’t close to the apartment she shared with her friends to take a nap. So coffee it is.
But it seemed like her luck was just no good that day. The moment she rushed into the cafe, her messenger bag got caught in the door and all of her things for classes went spilling over the floor. When people gave her looks of concern, she felt seeds of anxiety in her chest. The first reaction she had with her lack of sleep was to snap. Maybe if it was a better day she would have just quietly picked up her things- but instead, she just snapped at half of the patrons in line.
Moments after her statement they, finally, moved their gazes away from her. Hapi let out a sigh of relief as she straightened her books and began shoving them back into her bag. When it came to her pencil case, she bit back a groan of frustration when she noticed it broke, sending her pens, pencils and erasers scattered.
Maybe it was all a sign that she should have just stayed home that day.
