Happy Birthday @skeksard/@feusus!
Here’s Myrn!

“It doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon, does it,” Chrom remarked, removing his tunic and wringing as much water out of it as he could.
“Likely not,” Robin chuckled, gazing out at the dark sky and stirring at every subtle flash in the clouds. “It’s quite intense when it rains, though it only does so on rare occasion -- once a year, if we’re lucky.”
“Gods, it rains all the time in Ylisse,” he muttered, giving up and laying his shirt out on the stones to dry. “We have as many rainy days as sunny ones in spring, thunderstorms through the summer, and as winter draws close we start getting cold showers and eventually snow -- sometimes even blizzards.”
“It must be wonderful,” the young man sighed.
“I was thinking more ‘aggravating,’ myself,” the prince replied. “But I also grew up with it, so I’m biased, I guess.”
“And here we never seem to have enough of it,” Robin agreed. “It rains more often in the Midmire, though not by much, and the archipelago sees more frequent showers, but...every time a storm came, my mother would take me down to the courtyard to play in it. Splashing through the puddles, chasing one another through it until we were soaked through...Henry joined, too, and we would all wear ourselves out to the point that we dozed off through my father’s chiding.”
“...I’ll admit, that does sound like fun,” Chrom chuckled, gently taking hold of the young man’s coat and drawing it gently from his shoulders before laying it out to dry alongside his tunic. Robin’s undershirt seemed somehow wetter than his robe had been, enough to cling tight to his chest, and very suddenly the prince remembered just how narrow the young man was underneath his usual layers. He’d felt it, once, nearly a year ago now, trying to keep Robin still and steady before carrying him through the dark to try and find some rest…
Thunder rumbled overhead, and as its echoes faded Robin’s laughter took their place. “I can’t wait for you to see what comes after the storm,” he said, turning a beaming smile on Chrom.
“W-what comes after?” he asked, trying to spur his thoughts back to the present but seeming unable to drag his attention away from the young man’s eyes and the crinkles at the corners and the way his damp hair clung to his face.
“Everything springs to life,” Robin said. “It takes a few days, but the whole desert blooms after a storm like this -- plants and flowers spring up everywhere in the wake of the rain, and even if it’s only brief, it’s so beautiful…”
“It sounds it,” he grinned, reaching out to free the pale locks sticking to the young man’s cheeks. “I can’t wait to see it.”
But more than anything else, he looked forward to Robin’s smile when that bloom came.
