"You can lead a child to the potty, but you can't make him pee" - author unknown TIPS FOR SUCCESSFULLY POTTY TRAINING YOUR TODDLER... 1) introduce your child to the potty - be positive and energetic 2) give your child praise! Even if they simply sit on the toilet 3) if your child goes potty (even a microscopic drop) reward them! *rewards don't have to be candy...it can be their favorite fruit, stickers, a special outing...etc. (slowly wean the rewards as they become pros) 4) spend a day or two in the house! Put your little one in "big kid underpants". Expect that your child will likely mess up a few pairs and you may even throw some away. 5) stay positive and whatever you do don't punish your child while potty training. Some children are potty trained in a day, others can take months. Stay patient! Stay consistent! #NannyTraci #NannyTracitipoftheday #quotestoliveby #quoteoftheday #pottytraining #toddlers #lifewithtoddlers #gilly #sentsy #myrtlebeachbabysitting #myrtlebeachNannyservice #myrtlebeachbabysittingservice #thingstodowithkids #thingstidowithkidsinmyrtlebeach #myrtlebeach #Litchfield #gardencity #surfsidebeach #myrtlebeachvacationbabysitter #myrtlebeachvacationNanny (at Pawleys Island, South Carolina)
