Why is Talon always so sullen, he needs a drink and a sammich or something.

he's (blood) hungry (as in Literally bc he is a vampire) 95% of the time the rest is him trying not to get so easily insanely obsessively attached to anybody, by being incredibly abrasive... sometimes he's in a good mood though

I do crave coffee flavored things, and head pats, so this checks out. I would use my powers of persuasion for only good though I swear.
