Despite loving My Street growing up, I've never actually seen season 1 until now. And duuuude, ZANEMAU BRAINROT. I never shipped them growing up because I never watch season 1, so I never picked up on the fact that he had a crush on her.
I've been obsessing over the dynamic between these two (mostly in MS because in MCD it gets a little tricky...). But I love the idea of Sasha just being Gene's comfort person. She's kind of stuck it out through thick and thin (and both surviving being in love with a Zvahl). Even when Zenix isn't around, they always hang out together because they just balance each other out.
Here are some headcannoned scenarios I've imagined:
Hanging out watching a movie on the couch while Sasha paints her nails or DIY's her clothes. It'll be late at night and they're both in their pjs just hanging out while a movie is playing the background. Sasha decided to cut up some of her shirts with new patterns she discovered and Gene is fascinated. Someone had said that Gene just buys all of his clothes for the aesthetic, and to further that idea, I like to think Sasha makes fun of him for it. So sometimes, Gene will have Sasha make him some things, too. One night while she's cutting her shirts, Gene just takes his off and asks her to do that to his too (she cuts a ribcage pattern into the back of his and he loves it).

3. Gene has a doctor's appointment to get some blood drawn, but he's terrified (not that he'll say so). It's not because he's scared of blood or needles, but because knowing someone is taking him blood makes him feel lightheaded. So, he'll made Sasha come with him so that he doesn't have to think about his blood being taken. Sasha will ask for a lollipop, too, because she knows he wants one but doesn't want to ask because he'll feel stupid.
4. Anytime he has to get his hair done, he goes to Sasha to do it. She dyes his roots and gives him a haircut as well. The one time he went to a Costcutters/Greatclips, they fucked his shit up so bad that he almost (almost) got on his knees in front of Sasha to beg for forgiveness.
5. Similarly to 3, most of his piercings are done by Sasha. I think I mentioned this one before, but he trusts her to do it rather than a tattoo shop. Again, like number 3, he went to a professional for his seconds, and he swears they're slightly lopsided, so everything else is done by Sasha. (She refused to do his eyebrow piercing, though, because she said there was too much skin - despite her having done his snakebites - so he went to a tattoo shop for that one).
6. Late night drives and smoke seshes. She lets him play Panic at the Disco and Fallout boy because those were his favorite bands when he was younger (he knows the album Save Rock and Roll by HEART). Vise versa, he lets her play her music (she's often bit by the Linkin Park bug lol).
7. She's the only person who has ever seen Gene cry (besides Laurance and doubly besides Dante, who got punched for making a comment). It was one random night, and they had been smoking together, and Gene was being really quiet, which made Sasha question (empath), and he just started sniffling, which led to full tears when she said "oh, Gene" (the universal trigger to start the real tears). It was slightly awkward because Gene doesn't know how to be comforted, and Sasha doesn't know how to comfort Gene, so it turns into a long period of hugging while Gene gets tears and snot on Sasha's shirt.
8. They have kissed once while drunk, and the next day Gene was spiraling because he thought he ruined their friendship forever, but Sasha genuinely did not care. To her it didn't mean anything more than kissing a girlfriend (not a girlfriend but a friend who is a girl - I feel I must clarify this as it is Sasha we're talking about). She did make Gene buy her dinner, because he wanted to make it up to her somehow despite her saying it was all good.
