Things I've noticed rewatching PDHS1:

Obligatory mention of the detention episode where Jeffrey mentions in some grade F dialogue how Aaron did freshman through junior year in military school, then transferred to PDH in the summer which got telephoned into him being a super senior.

Dante likely dated Nana and Nicole when he was a freshman and they were still in middle school. Which sounds like a nightmare to juggle assuming Nana and Nicole went to different middle schools.

It's in the ro'meave 2-parter where Mystreet!Vylad is confirmed to still be an affair baby, quote "half brothers exist too Zane."

Garroth sucks for telling Aph to keep the kiss she did not consent to a secret. I'm not saying it's entirely his fault she got blackmailed, but it is his fault.

This season would've been a lot more entertaining in the later episodes if the Aaron reveal didn't happen til the finale & the blackmail plotline had been wrapped differently. Pick your fanon route; Laurænce goes all out modern teenage shadow knight on Gene, or Garroth goes knightly mode and snitches to Gene's mom/Principal/whoever.

Tying into that, I finally remembered why I liked PDH so much when it was releasing; I like seeing other pairings aside from the end games. Sure I know the end result but it's about the journey™

This is really just turning into a rant about how I wish mystreet Aarmau happened later in the timeline, in my ideal they could still dance together at prom or something, but not go jumping out of windows. FCU (my baby) can stay the same, but tone it down a bit in PDH.

Aph's so real for having a seismic freak out from suddenly being wanted by everyone and having a crush on everyone.

Dante’s family always takes family pictures for their Christmas/Easter cards, and his mom takes these pictures INCREDIBLY serious. There is NO room for mistake on these pictures. Not because they are a family of significant importance, but because she values their image as a family for her own sake (at least how other people see them).

One problem, Gene dyes his naturally blue hair black (more like Sasha does it for him). So, for these family pictures he has to put that temporary colored wax dye in his hair to get it that same shade of blue or else his mother will HUNT him down.

I headcannon their family as one of the most normal, suburban families in the PDH/MS series. Gene acts all edgy and whatever but then goes home to a family dinner and his mom asks him if he and his friends did anything fun while Dante is just grinning at his discomfort. Typical family/sibling arguments, typical family game nights (monopoly is banned in their house because of the fights), typical family vacations. And despite his mother wanting Gene to look “normal” for family pictures, she also buys him the kinds of clothes he likes to wear and one birthday she even gave him money to get another ear piercing (but he used it to buy a pair of combat boots and had Sasha pierce it for him).

If hang outs are EVER at his house, Gene’s mom ends up bringing snacks for him and his friends (Zenix makes fun of him but ends up cradling the chip bowl the whole night). Drive past their house? Gene’s dad has him outside helping with lawn work. Check his mom’s Facebook? Picture after picture of Gene and Dante smiling together on vacation.

Is it just me but are the werewolves in aphmau content give the same fetishization as native and black men are in media while meif'wa are full of asian fetishization? Specifically a lot of "Noble Savage" and "Submissive Minority" type of things and the way both are dehumanized for their race. Just me? alright.
