The JumpStart Blog once described the HornHowlie, a Mythie that debuted in the JumpStart MMO, as "part dog, part billy-goat, part reptile", which gives some insight into the HornHowlie's design. The main body resembles that of a dog, the horns are based on those of a billy goat, and the spines along its back are based on certain reptiles (presumably lizards and/or iguanas, some of which have spines similar to this).
