I feel sexual attraction and I like the hypothetical idea of sex but I do not enjoy things in my vagina. Its uncomfortable. Masturbating hurts and using tampons just feels wrong. I dont know if this is some type of ace or if its just personal preference or if maybe theres something wrong with me medically? But I could use some advice
I think discomfort with things touching genitals is common among sex-averse and asexual people - pain should not be. I would mention this to a doctor, just to make sure you’re physically healthy. I’d be careful, though, that you make it clear to them the difference in your concern for something dangerous versus something that’s merely ‘uncommon’, inhibiting only your ability to have sex that you may not even be interested in. That being said, if a professional says you’re safe, then it’s time to reflect on what you really want. Do you wish you could have sex, but physical pain stops you? There may be a way to lessen that feeling that you could discuss with your doctor, and if not, there are more ways to have sex than just vaginal.
If this isn’t threatening to your safety, and you don’t really care to change this, then there’s nothing wrong with going through life avoiding sex for any reason, even if you’re not technically asexual - which it sounds like you aren’t, if you feel sexual attraction. That being said, if you feel safety or happiness among our community, I welcome you to it!
