John blinked, finally shutting his laptop. He'd read and reread the letter Sherlock had posted to his blog It'd been a whim to check it, really. Just to see if he'd been up to anything interesting.
Well. Sherlock thinking wasn't exactly interesting, but him apologizing certainly was.
The doctor leaned back in his seat, giving himself a good five minutes to just consider what the apology meant, before pulling out his phone.

We should probably have a chat, mister. -JWx
At The Office
John pushed his hands deeper into his pockets, trudging up the steps to...well, he supposed it was Jim's office. He'd never really been, there was no reason to. The criminal nearly always kept his work and private life separate, and John appreciated it. Sure, sometimes Jim would chuckle darkly at the news, but more or less, the doctor could ignore he was dating a man most likely responsible for mass murder. He double checked the text message he'd gotten before getting on the elevator, and waited patiently for the door to shut. Why he was here was more or less a mystery. Maybe Jim was swamped and couldn't leave, but he shouldn't guess. Theorizing without data, all that shit that Sherlock had taught him. The doors opened with a chime, and John stepped out, glancing around. It didn't take him too long to find the right office, and entered with a knock.

The Warehouse Appointment
Emily was walking somewhat aimlessly around the highest point of the abandoned building, moving silently, practicing careful dominion over her limbs which she had been working to bring under control of late. Nothing major, just improving her balance, quickness and lightness of foot. She leapt onto a railing where she could easily observe the door but from where she would be unseen by anyone walking in either Jim or her appointment. That was the reason she was in the place to begin with. Another dealer of information and an old acquaintance of hers was coming to drop off something she needed. This was one of their designating meeting places. The coffee ploy had merely been an attempt to keep herself busy while she waited, she hadn’t expected Jim to do much more than send her back a scathing comment. The fact the he was now on his way had surprised her but she smiled to herself. It shouldn’t interfere with her work at all and he was always tolerable fun.
We should rectify this, don't you agree? JM
How would that go? - SH
You missed me really, Sherlock, no need for hostility. JM
I won't deny that. - SH
Sweetheart! It's been far too long. JM
Sweetheart? That is not the word I would use to describe myself. I did not even notice that time had passed. I am bored without your genius crimes. - SH
