”only if you make it to the end”
what would it be like to have your own avatar? say, I can play this game and imagine, but to keep have and hold ? I may reimagine my present, it’s not stolen eyes if I am playing right? I could pick my favourite characters and learn how to make them dance. There would be no one static.
the end of a game sucks. Imagination is necessary to keep the dream alive, friends who know what’s up help me to hold leash into my fantasies. If we all got to live out the remainders of the game, there would be no losers. Heck, it’s hard to say who’s won, and yet I find it difficult to appreciate the lot I’ve had, found, etc whatever you want to call it. Earned is a tricky sum. Please tell me there is a point to what I’ve collected, gathered. That this is a verse to see me transforming.
what if the end did not end and you were able, enabled too, to keep on going, rebuild, rewrite, seek your own quests… your fighters and fairies speak to the ego within (video games, media generally cost money). How about a fantastical narrative, something like a heroic adventure, bridges to our favourite mythology to bleed out the crisis spirit of the mundane? Our conversations won’t cost us a dime and it could all, for these moments, seem real.
is this a case for larping
