Is it even my birthday if I don't break character to sob in my bed at 4am and thus be surrounded by concerned cats before I either 1. fall asleep or 2. give up on sleeping and go make tea
#honestly at this point it's tradition#i am not a big crier i maybe cry ten times a year AT MOST and 80 percent of that happens during my birthday week#legit don't even know why#birthdays are sad idk there's probably trauma there like when i was thirteen and my dad no called no showed#oh ew that's probably it#being human is gross n dumb#n complicated#reminds me of a friend saying it's vipers all the way down and im not sure if they made that up or they ripped it off something but#accurate really
