A Hot runner is a molten plastic transferring unit used within the molds in an injection moulding machine. The hot runner system comprises of heated components used inside injection molds that brings the molten plastics from the barrel into several cavities of mold.
The capacity of hot runner melt channels depends on many factors such as type of plastic, injection speed, filling rate, and the molded parts.
The temperature controller controls the heating of hot runner system within the injection mold and resin inside the barrel to set temperature & injects the resins into the mold.
The major function of heater manifold is to uniformly distribute the plastic entering the mold to various nozzles which then meter it distinctly to injection points in the cavities.
The Hot runner usually makes the mold more expensive to manufacture and run, but it allows huge savings by reducing plastic wastages and cycle time. It is capable of producing highly complicated parts in a huge range of sizes that are used in every plastic industry.
