5 or Esco or Cuddy or Smalley Day until #MNTwins Pitchers & Catchers report for #SpringTraining!!! To us, Eduardo Escobar became a great player while with the @Twins and the @DBacks are now reaping the benefits of that but, the Twins did get some good prospects in OFs Ernie de la Trinidad & Gabriel Maciel and RHP Jhoan Duran, who was just added to the Twins #40ManRoster and could make his #MLBDebut later this coming season so we definitely miss Esco (& he misses @Fogo or, at least the MN Fogos) but the front office got some value for him that we could see the fruits of soon. Now, we definitely know there are some #N4C fans out there who think Cuddy was/is the best Twins player to wear the number 5 and they really don't care who else has worn it and, we absolutely acknowledge that Michael Cuddyer was a nice player for the Twins when he was here. He gave it his all every game and he had the talent to put up some great numbers and that deserves respect! Nice job, Cuddy!!! Are you going to be in the booth more this season? We think that would be #Magical! There is another former #5 that has spent quite a bit of time in the Twins broadcast booth and he was a member of the 1987 #WorldSeries Champs and he wore it longer than anyone else, 12 seasons to Cuddy's 11 seasons and Esco's 7 seasons. Other players to wear the number 5 for the Twins: OF Pedro Munoz ('90-'95), SS Danny Thompson ('70-'76), 1B Don Mincher ('62-'66) and more recently, OF Roberto Kelly ('96-'97) & IF Brent Gates ('98-'99.) Holy Cow, we are getting close to BASEBALL!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/B8SiFnnAqiW/?igshid=b6bs1b359ef6
