DB Realty’s Director, Sales & Marketing, Nabil Patel, was one of the key panelists at an event jointly held by Grant Thornton and FICCI. The interactive session, ‘Emerging Compliance: MahaRERA & GST’, was held on August 18, 2017 at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
The panel discussion which focused on the challenges faced in MahaRERA registrations post-implementation, was moderated by Grant Thornton’s Director Neeraj Sharma. The Panel discussion also included discussions on how RERA and GST will affect the real estate sector and the transformations that these factors will bring in.
Apart from Mr. Patel, the event also saw participation from Rajeev Piramal, Co-Chairman, FICCI Real Estate Committee & VC & MD, Peninsula Land, and Deepak Goradia, VC & MD, Dosti Realty as panelists.
The valedictory address was given by Gautam Chatterjee, Chairperson of MahaRERA and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sharma.
Sharing his views on the event and the subject, Mr. Patel said, “With RERA's stipulated compliances and regulations, the project launches may occur with lesser frequency than before. With new launches getting spaced out, the appetite for existing inventories will go up. This equation will alter the ongoing demand and supply proposition in the market”.
