Of course, his performance as the slimy, odious and utterly repellant reptile/slug businessman(in two stories in Colin Baker's era as the Sixth Doctor was superb.
His small frame allowed for a creature which no ordinary actor could perform without copious VFX, and his burbling voice alone can make you feel like you needed a shower.
And this of course, could not have been further from his own character of a perfect gentleman and much admired actor.
And he used whatever fame and respect he gathered to campaign for proper recognition of disabled actors (He suffered from brittle bone disease.
A sad loss to acting and the Doctor Who family as this sample shows...
