would just love your general thoughts on my two favourite (and wildly different) naddpod songs: the widow and healing worm

ooh lovely!
the widow is interesting. it’s one of the few early bahumia songs that hasn’t shifted meaning over time, that hasn’t been used for anyone or anything other than its original intent. it’s lydia’s song. it plays when she’s there or when she’s mentioned. a lot of the galaderon songs are prolific because they’re used over and over (the purge is an obvious example, as is valiant ol’ cobb, but a fate refused is also used time and time again in all three campaigns). the widow isn’t, and that’s kind of what makes it so rad. (it is used in 3x52: avatar of alexandrite, twanc ep 2, and hbs ep 7, but emily just loves to throw as much music as possible in her dm’d episodes and there being one non-lydia use of it in main campaigns is kinda crazy, so my main point stands lol). it’s also very repetitive in an ear-wormy way which is fun.
healing worm is used once in c2, the titular time, and then not again until episode of ever 3x41: giant king’s contest. which is wild, partially because it’s on the album. it’s a fun one, and it being used infrequently makes it more so, because there’s less baggage with it lol.
