Don't Get Confused
One thing about trying to learn a lot of vocabulary quickly is, it's easily to mix up words that sound similar or have similar translations. I've found writing things out can be helpful for me when I'm consistently getting words confused. Maybe looking at the differences between these words will be helpful to you to, or maybe you'll just learn a few new words.
die Nacht - night die Nichte - niece
noch - still schon - already schön - beautiful, fine, nice jetzt - now jeder/jede/jedes - every, any, each etwas - any, some sonst - else
das Enkelkind - grandchild das Einzelkind - only child
die Semmel - (Southeastern Germany & Austria) roll, bun der Sessel - armchair
die Fläche - area, space die Flasche - bottle
das Pfand - deposit das Pferd - horse
geschieden - divorced die Geschichte - history, story das Geschwister - sibling (usually used in pl)
aufstehen - to get up aussehen - to appear, to look like
nehmen - to take (something) neben - beside in der Nähe von - close to
nahbar - affable, approachable der Nachbar - male neighbor
breit - wide weit - far, wide weil - because
wichtig - important würzig - spicy
lieber als - rather than leider nicht - unfortunately not
