Hey lovelies, unfortunately I am no longer able to keep nashvillehq running. The decision to shut down was not made lightly, but it is what needs to happen right now. Personal issues have led to muse being lost and it's not fair to our members if the admin isn't 100% invested. I have enjoyed writing with all of you and getting to know each member. In the future, I may explore opening again but for now I am taking a break until life gets a little less hectic. Thank you for your time, even if it was short lived. I've decided to do an acceptance tonight around 6 or 7pm MST, I don't know how much I'll be around tomorrow evening as I am working a 10-hour day, so I will do one tonight and then if more come in and I'm able to I will do one tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest, sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. Hey all, just a quick clarification on the whole voiceclaim/careerclaim thing in game and how I define it here in NashvilleHQ. So when picking a voiceclaim/careerclaim for your character I define it as:
this is what my character sounds like, these are their songs (that they could have written or somebody wrote for them) and no one else can use them as a voiceclaim or as a song their character wrote/sang but can still use any music for inspo/musing posts for connections/playlists.
I still fully expect members to write their own unique backgrounds for their characters including their careers. It's perfectly fine if they have inspiration from another artist's career or background, but not a replica. This is to avoid a celebrity type aspect but also to avoid instances of 'main character syndrome' because no character is more important than any other character in the group and no one is the main character. You can definitely plot things to have your character feel more important than anyone else or be the main character in a personal subplot, but not overall. Again, if you need clarification or have questions feel free to send them to me (preferably off anon) and I'd be happy to go into more detail.
Good evening members! Just a quick update of things. Tomorrow I will be posting the details on the first event which will start on Friday, 7/7 and end Sunday, 7/16. As such, we will be doing rolling acceptances through 7/16. I will try to do it multiple times a day, but we will for sure do it once everyday if there are apps to accept. Next, if you were unfollowed during the interest check you are more than welcome to re-apply at anytime. Finally, with an overwhelming vote of yes, we are going to up the member cap to 25! With the latest acceptance we have reached our member cap! I will update the pinned post if I/we as a group decide to up the cap after the first activity check. Also the first event is planned to start 7/7 - more details on this early next week!
