Bingo: Kazuma whore

I really and truly don't understand why so many people legitimately dislike Kazuma. Because he was mean to Hiyori, Yukine, and Yato, and hasn't apologized in a story that is yet incomplete? As if Noragami hasn't been one long series of people making mistakes? And just for the record, even if he never apologizes I still won't dislike him.

As frustrating as Kazuma often is to watch (on the level of nooo little hafuri boy don't interrogate your friends), I can't deny that his spiral is one of the most interesting things about Noragami. He was introduced as calm, competent, and always in control. Then you learn more about him and realize he is quite literally hanging on a thread. Noragami is a story of people trying to get better, and one guy getting worse.

Oh, sorry, the guy getting worse is actually Father.

I'm not going to pretend Kazuma has done nothing wrong, but at the same time I think his actions are justified in the context of his character: he's tried to be everything to Bishamon, he's tried to prevent harm from coming to her, but because they're both so allergic to communication (WONDER WHERE SHE GOT THAT FROM), they never quite see eye to eye and he lashes out as a result.
