Great tour this morning of the #BullittCenter in #Seattle by the #MillerHullPartnership, completed in 2013. This 6-story, 62,000 sf office building is the first commercial building to achieve Living Building certification. The building is net-positive in terms of energy and has composting toilets. The first two levels are concrete and the seismic bracing is steel. The load-bearing structure for floors 3-6 is FSC-certified #DouglasFir #glulam columns and beams. The floor slab is #NailLaminatedTimber, topped by plywood to provide the structural diaphragm.
