The Firstborn
The first generation of Sylvari consisted of 12 individuals, yet only 10 have ever been introduced.
Inktober Day 26:
I’m still feeling pretty burned out from that darned art project, but! Vaguely back in business. And once I actually finish it, I’ll be posting it and counting it for exactly as many days as it’s burned, heh.
In the mean time; the main protagonists from Imperfect Science, across two generations. ^_^ Though… ah, definitely not depicted with any chronological consistency. Basically everyone’s school-aged here, even though Naimh doesn’t show up in the story until Gerou is semi-retired and Elance is the Dean of the mage department.
I had two goals with this. The first was that I figured drawing everyone very small in a simple style might help me sort out what facial structures and features my hind brain has decided each person has. And it did indeed help with that! Everyone looks like themselves to me. :)
The second is… I have a favor to ask! I need suggestions for a name for Elance’s wife. I’ve come up with so many names for her over the years, and not a single darned one has stuck.
There aren’t any naming rule conventions to worry about, really; not that I’ve thought up at any rate. Elance, Trulani, and Adelain are all from her culture, so you could try to pull from them, but I feel like I have enough Ls and As and Ns to last a lifetime. xD Gerou and Naimh are both from different cultures.
there’s nothing better than a friend asking you if they can make their dnd character related to yours
The Luminaries of the Sylvari Race
Aife of Dawn / Niamh of Noon
Kahedins of Dusk / Malomedies of Night
Going through my old art is always an odd experience. In many ways, I was far braver and more artistically ambitious as a kid and young teen than I am now, or have been in years.
I feel like I should try to recapture some of that freedom and excitement, if I can talk myself into it...
(All of this art is from when I was between 9 and 16 years old. It is not in chronological order.)
Niamh: We all have our demons. Niamh, grabbing Karlach: This one is mine.
Niamh: Look at me straight in the eyes and tell me the truth, Karlach! Karlach: You can’t expect me to look into your eyes and be straight.
