When Naitik said, “Kaka, I lost a tooth” during lunch today, I said, “Yay the tooth fairy will come if you leave your tooth under your pillow and sleep and then she will give you rupees.” He was so excited and I was not sure what to do as I don’t go to House of Hope at night and I’m the tooth fairy (I go to bed way earlier than these kids) So, he out his tooth under the pillow and all kids were playing outside, since it’s a Holiday here. I came out screaming and said, “Naitik the tooth fairy came early and I saw her, check under your pillow.” And there behold was 100 INR (around $1.21 USD). His world was so happy and I realized why I love my job, serving kids affected by HIV/AIDS.
