Okay so I have a question. Not everyone, but why do some people think Natsu isn’t that much taller than Lucy?
While height isn’t a huge factor in if I think someone is attractive or not (Natsu’s hot regardless), I still think it’s interesting if it’s judged wrong.
Actually, I take that back. I understand why some people think Natsu isn’t all that much taller than Lucy because Mashima’s art style makes his characters look a little stumpy, I think it has to do with how curvaceous they are, even the guys. (I guess it’s really hard to draw height and curves)
However, where Lucy lies, even with the perception that we have, next to Natsu is still at a good height difference.
especially after the time skip and you can tell Natsu grew a little.
She’s at half his face about-ish.
And if you look at different art styles he seems taller
at least to me he does

Even so, maybe it’s because i don’t mind height much, but he seems like a good height away from her. At least average of a guy and girl. Mashima really likes this kind of height difference as well, since most of the couples in FT have about the same difference except for Gajevy.
HOWEVER,
My final point on why their height difference is greater than it seems is going to be this. Something I think a lot of people forgot.
Lucy wears heels or heeled boots about 99.9% of the time. Whereas Natsu just wears sandals.

The picture is paned away but those are a good few inches of height.
Anyways, the long winded point of this all beyond myself just having fun looking for cute pictures of Lucy outfits and her and Natsu together, is that Natsu’s a lot taller than Lucy than some people think.

Where I’m sure she’s not wearing shoes since she’s in her night clothes, she’s probably about chin level with him.
Certainly not Gejevy level but not almost the same height as I have read someone say before 👀
Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed my random rant. It was random and something I thought about after reading fics of people saying their height difference is nothing. I think theirs is cute, he can still bend down to kiss her, and she could still go on her toes to do the same.
BTW It’s surprisingly hard to find pictures of Lucy’s shoes although I think everyone knows she usually just wears heels.
