control that extends to degendering her so that she can stay the perfect little player stand-in that "can be any gender"
basically her being forced to stay and behave exactly as people want her to be. which. I'm not sure if there's some connection to her living situation in the light world. toriel they/thems her so. it doesn't seem like this is a world that truly cares for her. so sure enough she wants to change it to one that does. maybe that's why she took the knight up on their (her?) offer?
