She tightened her hands together in a silent prayer, just a couple inches over the wishing fountain. Given her large sum of money back at home, depositing coins in the fountain wasn’t an issue for her, even with only 20% of it.

Sayo could often be found wishing for something over that fountain. She didn’t want many things... But even so, she came every day and wished. Maybe it was because of the gentle atmosphere of the area. Or... Was it because none of her wishes had come true-?

“A-Ah...”

Her hopeful thoughts were interrupted by another persons presence. Timidly, she straightened out and nodded at them.

“... Have you come to enjoy the scenery as well?”

Their first exposure to all that the festival had to offer came when they poked their head out of the window to encounter kites. The entire thing had been startling at first, Lazarus falling on their butt and letting out a shout that makes someone in another room smack the wall. Oops. 

Nevertheless, after a bit of calming down and changing into appropriate clothes for outside their room, Lazarus sets out to explore. The sky is a strange sort of rainbow, a sight that Lazarus has never seen before. 

Wandering in lazy spirals, they eventually end up on a street corner, waiting for the light to turn. Head still tilted to the sky, Lazarus speaks half to the clouds, and half to the person also probably waiting for the light to turn. 

“So.” It’s about the best way they have to begin this little bit of conversation. “You ever flown a kite before?”

Shirogane had been feeling... annoyed, as of late. Even more so than when they were working with the Inaba PD--and they were insufferable. Sitting at the table in the small office, they chew at the top of their pen, bouncing their leg as they ponder over their thoughts. As time passed, they grew more and more angry, eventually slamming a hand down onto their book and glaring at it.

“Why the hell doesn’t this make sense? This should’ve been easy to figure out!” They shout, their shoulders slightly trembling with anger. They then look up to see a person with long hair walking by. “You! Tell me what you know about the current mishaps!”
