Okay i just stumbled upon your caranthir/luthien au and it was one tiny post but I'm so intrigued. Could you tell me about that? I love luthien/feanorian pairings but I've never seen this before so I'm just... very here and very curious

So the Not So Political Marriage AU is actually a Maglor/Luthien story, not Caranthir/Luthien, I’m sorry for the confusion there!
Though now that I’m thinking about it there’s something appealing about the idea of grumpy keeps to himself Caranthir and bright beloved by all Luthien falling in love that would make a really fabulous story. 🤔
The plot of the NSPM AU in a nutshell is that Luthien arrives too late to save Beren and Finrod from Sauron and decides she wants revenge on Morgoth while also getting even with her father since it was his meddling that led to Beren’s death. She gets in contact with the Feanorians since they want the same things, and offers a marriage alliance to prove she’s serious. Luthien decides that Maglor is the best fit for all her plans, however Maglor is reluctant even though he’s falling for her because he’s a soft romantic at heart and wants someone who loves him back. Still she convinces him to agree to it, but it starts to become not so political after all when she begins falling for him in earnest too. It’s going to involve a lot of yearning and pining along with family drama on both sides (Thingol is NOT going to be happy and Maedhros isn’t convinced that Luthien won’t end up double crossing them), and some tough moments between Luthien and Daeron due to his part in events that led to Beren’s death, and of course Silmaril quest shenanigans.
It’s still very much a WIP but it’s very fun to write!
