also i hate the weddings because the public humiliation of it all when only one person says yes. it’s unnecessary and it only happens because the show wants to push weddings so damn bad

do the producers have a gun to the contestants’ head if they don’t wanna marry the person??? is that why all these no’s happen at the alter instead of ahead of time???

this whole abortion thing between bartise and nancy is bleh . i’m half and half with both of them.

on bartise’s part I’m not gelling with the limits. it may not be his intention but it ultimately feels like he’s using a child as a punishment for recklessness. even if someone isn’t taking the best options available to them prevent pregnancy, i do not see the point in forcing them into parenthood; that’s a recipe for disaster.

on nancy’s end she was very much veering into eugenics. when she basically said why do this when the next one could be better i said yikes. what happens if you have your non disabled children and something happens and one of them becomes disabled? you’d still deal with the same things you saw as a speech pathologist. are you also going to think your abled kids are better? i do wish bartise had asked her this because maybe her answer would’ve made her look better.

i like nancy’s brothers, they ask the real questions. it’s weird to me when people talk about why they like their partners and they bring it back to themselves. idk, it comes off as self centered; i don’t know that’s right word, but i think when you talk about why you love someone you also have to mention things that are only about them. so when her brothers basically said your answers aren’t really hitting i had to agree.
