Nancy and Victors relationship is one of my favorite parent child ones because like VICTOR LOVES HIS FAMILY SO DAMN MUCH LIKE STFU BATMAN AND LET HIM STEAL THESE CHEMICALS TO SAVE HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER
Like, the reason he spoils her so much is because he really doesn’t know if he’ll be able to find a cure in time, so he wants to give her the best life possible. He definitely spends nights and days straight just researching and experimenting, trying to find a cure. Nora will come down to his lab to bring him food, and Jonathan’s assisting him too because he’s a scientist and a father, he wouldn’t know what to do if he lost Carrie. So while Nancy and Carrie are having a sleepover upstairs, Victor and Jonathan are working all night. BUT LIKE WHENEVER NANCY HAS A SET BACK AND NEEDS TO BE HOSPITALIZED (he has his own little hospital room in their house because of how frequent this family gets sick-) AND HE JUST BLAMES HIMSELF CAUSE HE DIDNT FIND A CURE FOR HER AND HE THINKS HIS BABY IS GONNA DIE AND ITS HIS FAULT SO NORA HAS TO COMFORT HIM
Nora: Vic, don’t you want to go sit with her for a bit?
Victor: I can’t, I need to finish this. If I can’t do this in time…if I fail…
Nora: You won’t, dear. But you should spend time with her. She’s asking for you.
Nancy, calling from the hospital bed: Daddy?
Victor:…coming, Princess
Body type chart for my Gotham Villains! I just wanted to show I try to put a lot of care into creating different body types and face shapes
Yeah no Nancy’s parents absolutely adore her and whenever she gets sick and has to stay in bed hooked up to machines to monitor her, they always make sure someone is always with her so she doesn’t get lonely. Nora will eat breakfast lunch and dinner with her, she’ll read her kids books until she falls asleep, and she’ll tuck her polar bear plushie in her arms and tuck her in. And like I said Victor will bring his research into the room so while she’s sleeping he can be with her, and when she wakes up he’ll give her a kiss on the forehead before grabbing two popsicles and just hanging out with her
Hello yes I am obsessed with her-
Angelphobia Fic ft Kitty and Nancy Being Supportive Besties
Carrie didn’t understand why people were so…cruel. Sure, she’s tortured and killed people mercilessly, but that was because they hurt her first. The kids at school, she hadn’t done anything to them but exist around them, and they treated her horribly for no apparent reason.
Lunch was the worst part of the day for her. Yeah in the mornings she’d see her locker covered in new insults and get pushed around a bit, but lunch was where the whole school ate together, meaning all of her bullies were in one area.
She hoped that just keeping her head low and eyes on the ground would make people not notice her, but it was hard to not notice the freak of the school walk by you. Getting in line to get lunch, she already got cut in line by some preppy girls in short skirts and fitted blouses, who looked her up and down with disgust and told her to “Move it, Scarface.” Carrie responded by backing up and letting her hair fall over her face, not wanting to start anything.
When she finally got her food, she passed by a table of jocks-big mistake. One of them noticed her coming and whispered something to his friends, and as soon as she reached them he stuck his foot out in front of her, making her trip. Everyone turned to laugh at her as she landed flat on her face, hitting her nose on the ground. The food on the tray spattered all over the front of her clothes, staining the light brown sweater and khaki colored ankle length skirt. Carrie lifted herself from the ground enough so her torso wasn’t touching the ground, her hair covered in pasta sauce and ranch dripped on the ground. She stared at the ground, eyes wide and full of rage and humiliation. The laughter of the cafeteria echoed in her head, becoming faint as her anger overtook her brain and she felt hot tears welling up on her eyes. No. She couldn’t cry in front of them all and humiliate herself even more. She couldn’t give them that satisfaction.
“Hey, come on.”
Carrie looked up, wiping her face when sauce almost dripped into her eye. She saw a hand outreaches to her, and a pair of warm blue eyes kindly, not teasingly looking down at her. Maikel was always nice to her, and sometimes it confused her more than everyone being mean to her. Hadn’t he known her reputation? Hadn’t he known she was a freak? A weirdo? Somebody nobody wanted to go near because they were afraid they’d catch some disease or curse. But Maikel never did, he was always kind to her. If somebody knocked her lunch out of her hands, he’d share his with her. In class he’d be the one to sit next to her when everyone else stayed at least three seats away from her. They’d wandered the library together talking about literature, and he’d actually listened to her. He hadn’t lured her to a prank, he hadn’t tricked her, he was just…nice to her.
Carrie slowly took his hand and let him help her up. She slipped in the mess of food below her, but he quickly caught her and helped her walk away from it. She followed him out of the cafeteria, still hearing everyone laughing at her and throwing more food at her. She winced when someone threw an apple at her side, Maikel quickly closing the door so no more food could hit her. He started walking towards the bathrooms before realizing he couldn’t really go into the girls bathroom, and she couldn’t go into the men’s…
“We can use the girls’. Everyone leaves when I walk in.” Carrie finally spoke up. She avoided eye contact with him as she went into the girls bathroom. Thankfully no one was in there, and once Maikel entered she locked the door behind them so nobody would come in to harass her more. Carrie awkwardly stood there before looking at herself in the mirror and her hear dropping. Food covered her, pasta sticking to her sweatshirt and sauce crusting onto it, and her hair was coated with it and her face was splattered with it. Carrie still wanted to cry, but not in front of Maikel. He already saw her this low, he’d probably leave if she got any lower.
“Carrie?” Maikel said to get her attention, holding paper towels in his hands. “Here, I’ll help you if you want.”
“…please.” Carrie nodded and took some, starting with the front of her shirt and her face as he walked behind her to help her clean her hair a bit.
“Those kids…they don’t know what they’re doing. They’re just acting out of their own self hatred.” Maikel said as he wiped her hair.
“Yet they choose to target me.” Carrie mumbled, tossing the now soaked paper towels.
Maikel didn’t say anything, focused on helping her right now. He’d deal with those boys later, right now he needed to comfort her and be there for her since apparently nobody else would.
They both jumped when the door started rattling, and Carrie feared the worst, that some girls had come to lock her in a stall or something.
“CARRIE LET US IN!” Kitty yelled, banging on the door aggressively.
“SHE’S BLEEDING!” Nancy yelled too. Carrie ran to the door and opened it, letting them in and seeing Kitty’s hands bleeding.
“What happened?!” Carrie stared at her as she shut the door and locked it again, as Kitty went to the sink to wash her hands and Nancy grabbed more paper towels and started to help Carrie.
“Uh, I punched Marks lights out and my acrylics stabbed my own hand. He ain’t getting away with doing that to you, girl!” Kitty scoffed, as if Carrie just asked the dumbest question on earth.
“You poor thing, how about we skip the rest of school and go to my place? We can watch whatever you want! No matter how bloody or horrifying!” Nancy smiled at her brightly, trying to get as much sauce out of her clothes as she could.
“Oh, hey Maikel.” Kitty grinned and took a paper towel from him to wipe her hands. “Oh…did you two want to be alone in here??”
“W-what?? No! No, I just…we just…I wanted to-“ Maikel stuttered, his face immediately turning bright red as he fumbled for words.
“I’m kidding! You’re so cute.” Kitty laughed. “Carrie, we’ll be in the car. I’ll see if I have any extra clothes in my trunk.”
“Like I want to wear your stripper outfit.” Carrie rolled her eyes, but Kitty just smiled and grabbed Nancy’s hand to leave her and Maikel be.
“Take care of her, babes!” Kitty waved to Maikel before shutting the door.
“Um…sorry about her. She’s just horny.” Carrie mumbled.
“Uh…it’s-its fine.” He shook his head. “Do you want more help, or…?”
“I…I want to thank you. I don’t know why you treat me so…I don’t understand why you’re so nice to me. I appreciate but…you don’t have to do all this.” Carrie fidgeted with her sleeves.
“Why wouldn’t I?” Maikel tilted his head. “You’re…you’re intelligent and you have a sense of mystery about you. I love mysteries.”
Carrie blushed at that, her mouth briefly twitching up in a smile. No one had ever said anything like that to her before, she didn’t know if this was what flirting was supposed to be like or if it was just plain kindness.
“But…everyone hates me. Why wouldn’t you listen to them?”
“I like to make up my own opinions of people. And I enjoy being around you, and I don’t understand why others don’t or why they treat you so horribly. You don’t deserve any of it, and I wish I could make it all stop for you.”
Carrie blushed yet again, nobody had ever been so sweet to her. No one had ever told her she didn’t deserve the treatment she got, nobody told her they wanted to take her pain away. It was…refreshing.
“I…thank you. You…you’re probably the nicest person I’ve ever met. I Uh…I like being around you too.”
They both shared shy smiles with each other, looking into each other’s eyes and getting lost in the moment. The bell rang and they both cleared their throats awkwardly, realizing how long they had been staring at each other.
“I’ll Uh…I’ll let you get to your friends. Um…I’ll see you in class tomorrow, okay?” Maikel rubbed the back of his neck, hoping Carrie couldn’t see the burning blush on his face.
“Okay…thanks again.” Carrie nodded, not knowing how to properly convey her thanks, because she’s never really been so thankful before. “Um…do you maybe want to go to the bookstore this weekend? I finished all my books and I assume you Uh, want more too.”
“Uh…yeah, sure! That’d be fun.” Maikel smiled warmly at her.
They eventually both left the bathroom, Carrie making sure the coast was clear because Maikel was already embarrassed being in the girls bathroom. Carrie smiled genuinely to herself as she walked outside to the student parking lot, feeling a weird warm and fuzzy inside…it was foreign and weird for her.
“Gurl, what’s got you grinning from ear to ear?” Kitty shouted from her car.
“Was it that BOYYYYYYYY??” Nancy sang, laughing when Carries face flushed as she got into the backseat.
“Shut up! You turn to jello when Dorrance walks past you.”
“Uh, yeah?” Nancy raised an eyebrow. “He’s hot and he has a cute butt!”
“Perv!” Kitty teased as she put on sunglasses and started her car.
“Says you, Kyle! You have nudes on your photos and sex toys in your nightstand!” Nancy laughed.
“God I hate you both.” Carrie grumbled.
“Love you too, babe!” Kitty and Nancy winked at her through the rear view mirror.
