Every time you open a book and sink into a new world, press your pen to paper, or brush your fingers over plush happy yarn (or anything else that requires patience with your hands), you are interacting with history. Vengeance Road really opened me up to Western/Pioneer literature. The latter half of the 19th Century has captured my heart for some reason.
