☪ ▌—- Anja watched Algrim’s dark features descend into an state of disorientation as she had made such a statement, wandering to her face then to the king sitting upon the throne of Alfheim. Anja watched red driplets fall to the floor in a lazy slosh with the king’s lack of care, calling some foreign words to her ears out among his people. Amber orbs stared slowly trailed back to the counsellor beside her as he spoke of Malekith. It did not surprise her of his words. Afterall, that was a quality most malefic kings wielded, to her knowledge.
Her lips twitched a smile as Algrim attempted to mud himself outside of her words, using Kusios as some sort of conversation steerer. But of course, she had little intentions of ruining the mood by telling Algrim off for whatever feelings he held in store for the king. She did not approve his choice, if it was the case, but she was at least happy he found something. She did not like the idea of seeing him alone back in Asgard, even if Algrim was not a man to seek any lovers, let alone one, she did believe if he was to get one again – he certainly deserved someone kind and able to requite those feelings of love. But she was not there to judge Algrim, even if her features displayed some wariness for the hidden truth in his words.
A weary smile woven itself across her lips at ‘I am of service in anyway I can’, arching a platinum eyebrow upwards as he continued his attempt to mold away from the statement, amending old words. “That’s all I needed to know.” She simply said, bringing her gaze back to the crowd. “Whatever the case is, my friend. I am happy for you,” Anja turned her gaze over into his own dark gaze. “And thank you for being concerned for me.“ She let her head rest on his shoulder for a moment, silver tresses folding over the side for a moment, “but do not worry over me, I will be fine.”
She looked among the crowd briefly, then departed from his shoulder rather early. “Well, since we’ve reunited for a little while, what do you wish to do, my friend? At least until someone stabs one another and makes a scene as per usual.”
The knowing smile that tugged at Anja’s lips told Algrim that she had seen right through his charade. The realisation triggered a brief surge of panic, but he found that it did not unnerve him quite as much as one would expect. Anja was one of the few people he’d trust with his life, and he was sure she would not use her knowledge against him. He could, however, not blame her for the wariness that crossed her face - he knew his choice of companion was rather unlikely to be met with acclaim.
“Thank you.” Algrim avoided her gaze for the time being, his eyes trained on a pair of squabbling Svartalfar. His tone was almost sheepish as he went on, his request caught somewhere between a jest and a plea, “Needless to say, this has to stay between the two of us, yes?”
When she leaned against him, he allowed it, a faint smile curving his lips as he gave her a sidelong glance. “For someone who never spent much time on Svartalfheim, you seem to know my people fairly well.” He gestured at the pair of elves he had spotted earlier, their heated argument threatening to turn violent. “In fact, your prediction may come true sooner rather than later.”
Algrim gave a short, indecisive hum as he contemplated Anja’s question. “Well, you are the one who made Alfheim her new home, what whould you suggest we do? Is there anything—” he paused, searching for an adequate term, “—fun to do? A stroll in the gardens, perhaps? I heard they are quite a sight to behold, even more so under a full moon. Unless, of course,” he added with a wry smile, “you would rather we stay and watch chaos take its course?”

A thought about them that they’d never share: I don’t know Anja well enough yet to have such thoughts yet.First impression of them: She seems like a very lovely person, even though we have not interacted a lot.Favorite thing about them: Like I just said, we have not interacted a lot, but for now I will say that her politeness is definitely a characteristic I like very much.Least favorite thing about them: I do not have one.Hopes for their future relationship: I hope we get to have a chance to interact a lot more. Anja seems like a person I would like to be friends with, and I really wish to get to know her better.
.: a place of rest for the night

The moon god was soaked right through because of the storm. His collar was upturned, but it had done nothing to prevent water leaking down his back along his spine. He’d been above the clouds for most of the night, but once the moon dipped below the horizon, he’d been freed of his obligations. However, his journey had ended a bit suddenly because of the wolf that chased him.
Máni limped over to the door and thanked the woman with both Jötun and Aesir phrases before stumbling in. “S-sorry for getting w-water all over your f-floor,” he said between his teeth chattering away. He slipped out of his soaked coat and hung it up near the door.
He hated to rely on anyone but himself and his small family, but this was the closest he’d been able to come to the main hall in Asgard, and he just couldn’t walk anymore. His calf was torn open, and blood soaked through his trousers and socks, pooling into his shoes almost as much as the water and ice from the storm. He tried to take off his shoes, but cried out and had to brace his body against the nearby wall in order to prevent falling over completely.
“I... I’m sorry. Could you h-help me?”

Thor had been walking the halls of the Great Palace of Asgard, a book in his hand and his face the pure expression of focus as he read through the chapters. He was trying to find information relevant to his recent adventure, but it seemed that the Library in Asgard wasn’t going to be enough. For the moment however, Thor was content to stay a few more nights before traveling to the Nexus of Gods for more information.
The little steps of a child running in the stone hall did not phase Thor until the child bumped into him. Stopping his reading, he looked down curiously at the child. Thor gave the little boy a smile. Children were a rarity, a species of their own given that the nobles of Asgard lived very prolonged lives. Immortality doesn’t make love easy, and childbirth was a sacred commitment. “Are ye lost?” He asked the child and then looked up at the approaching woman.
