Camp Nano April 2020 - Project MishMash
As you can see, this isn’t a real Nano novel. I already had a set of goals I wanted to complete by the end of April, so I decided to combine them with Camp Nano and create an official project as an extra motivator!
Drafting at least 5,000 words of 'To Catch the Sea'
Drafting at least 5,000 words of 'Homebirds'
Drafting a chapter-by-chapter outline for a prequel to 'The Wildfire King'
Getting through steps 1-3 of my edit plan for 'The Wildfire King'
The official word count on the Nano site is 26,000 words but this isn’t reeeeally accurate. I’ve basically created word count “equivalents” for the parts of the project that aren’t drafting i.e. the outline and editing goals.
I’m really hoping I can get all this done, even though it’s a lot. But I’ve just started a new job (working from home ofc) and so I’m not going to be too disappointed if I don’t manage it. I’m just going to do my best and encourage my fellow Nano-ers along the way!
