I am still playing the game, haven't achieved his other endings yet but they do seem worse than this one, I guess in comparison the good ending might be good? LOL But even though I found this ending to be sad, it made sense and I liked it. I agree he could have gotten more development :/ I never listened to the drama cd's, guess I will give it a shot :) I was reading the manga, but then Tokyo Pop went kaputt :/
