Naoto with a deep voice <3
There’s something very intimate about being in a relationship with someone while they’re going through puberty and loving them more and more as you see them growing into the person they want to become and I want that for naoto and his partner. Them always loving him no matter what but once he starts taking T the way his body hardens and his jaw gets sharper and his voice gets deeper and cracks and he feels more sure of himself and more confident. God i love trans love and transitioning euphoria and worship
I’ve said this before but truly one of my favorite things about p4 is the way naoto is truly a detective and goes FULL ass handing mode when she reads the criminals their charges. Persona detectives are so fucking cool and naoto is one of the coolest characters ever. I remember the scenes where she confronts adachi so vividly, she’s SO bad ass

Naoto’s dungeon is so cool bc Naoto had every intention of getting to the tv world but ZERO INTENTION of letting his personal feelings be revealed so when that happens it makes naoto very disarming and raw and empathetic when he is normally so reserved and protected and hidden and it’s just so cool bc he’s the only one like that. Rise’s is bittersweet bc it is completely public and revealed as the rest of her life is against her will which is the whole point and that’s devastating and yet the symbolism is so right for her character. P4 is just so good
how in the hell can you play p4 and legitimately think kanji isnt gay. ireally think people say kanji isnt gay because hes not faggy which is EXACTLY the point of kanjis arc! that his sense of identity gets thrown into confusion because of how OTHER people see him! its why his whole social link is about being who you ARE, true and fully, not what other people think you should be. he worries about being a good son, being liked by others, and yu helps teach him the best way to be is to be you. forcing this idea of whats right and wrong about his masculinity is exactly the things that plagued kanji and made him form a shadow and its the most piss poor compression skills to see all this story play out and say he is or isnt something theyve decided he shouldnt be. no matter how many people argue otherwise the lash back they feel to the fundamentals of kanji and naoto's stories it will always be rooted in homophobia and transphobia. it doesnt matter how you see them the reason why you REFUSE to see them in a certain way will always be because of homophobia and transphobia.
