1. what is your inquisitor’s name & race?

Oranari Bellanaris Lavellan! A Dalish Elf. 

10. warrior, rogue, or mage? 

 A rogue specializing in bows. I have a long, rambling backstory about how she was the eighth child of the Keeper and by then all she could really be was a hunter/protector. But she was always very eager to please and worked very hard at being the best shot in the clan. 

14.  which demon is most frightening to them?

That is a very good question! One I actually have an answer too! It isn’t a type, but Ishmael was very unsettling to her. All the other demons would have /looked/ unworldly and mysterious. He just looked like another guy, with a human face, at least on the onset. Also his taunts about her being ‘violent’ and ‘brutal’ and offering that they didn’t have to fight… Yeah. It would have gotten under her skin. 

16. when are they the happiest? 

Two occasions. Oranari, while sociable, friendly, and open-minded, is a naturally self-sufficient person who prefers privacy and isolation. Which, as you can imagine, has become nearly impossible for her to have as Inquisitor. I picture her having these rare days where she tells Cullen or Cass where she is going and sets off alone into the mountains. She sets up camp, hunts for her dinner, strings it up and guts it on her own, and spends a whole night outside of Skyhold. It reminds her of weeks on the hunt back at her clan and the countless times she slipped away without anyone to notice. 

Secondly, you know how you can ask Jose for a warm bath? She would fucking /love/ those warm baths. All alone in her quarters, fancy soap, the dirt of her last mission washing off of her. It would be blissful.

21. someone is encroaching on their love interest. how do they respond?

Yeesh, not well, actually. Oranari is... lets say protective. And it does happen in-game, where Cullen is completely surrounded by nobles and all of them are hitting on him pretty hard. I think someone (maybe Cass) had to talk her down from putting an arrow through the eye of the man/woman who pinched his ‘bottom’. Honestly, it wouldn’t be because she felt jealous or threatened, it would be because she would go from zero to SIX THOUSAND PERCENT DONE to see him so crowded and uncomfortable. Outside of that, she would be the one person who knew how dorky he was around someone he did like. She’d know. So she’d trust him all other times. 

24. what is their opinion on blood magic? would they ever use it, if given the chance?

This is a hard one, because she isn’t a mage and I think it would be doubtful she ever saw it used in her clan. It would make her profoundly uncomfortable and (if she had the chance) wouldn’t ever use it. It would be something she’d be judgmental of, which is normally unlike her, but then again it is something so very distant from her own experience.  

28. did they encourage cullen to continue taking lyrium, or to stop? for what reasons? 

Oh hell no, she told him to cut that shit out. See, I’d like to think she started to cultivate her affections for Cullen early on in Haven. She may have not liked him very much on the surface, but she did have this extra inch of respect for how directly he spoke with her. It opened her up to speak directly to him; an equal exchange that she desperately needed. And like I said, I think she’d be very protective, wither she was aware of it or not. But with the lyrium? She’d feel so helpless and she’d hate how out of her control it was. She had spent quite of bit of time thinking of him so above reproach and (while her respect for him would only grow after the revelation) she’d have to confront the idea that he had his own weaknesses. Which is also hard for her, because in that way she could relate to him. 

32. do they get along with vivienne? 

Begrudgingly. Get along? Maybe not so much. Respect and admire her? Absolutely. 

40. do they enjoy being the inquisitor? 

Not at all. There would be things she would enjoy. The people she had met, the world she explored. She would hate the fact that people hung off her word. Politics would make her feel like she is drowning. There would have to be so much she’d have to learn in real time and it would make her feel very, very small. She is so far away from those she can relate to, to a culture that so many in the larger world openly belittle. It took an already isolated girl and made her even more so. Also? Her clan thought so little of her and yet expected so much. Early on, she would feel like such an impostor. She’d think of her mother, her brothers, and her long-dead father every time she made a move.
