My morning view while drinking my coffee! In case you were wondering, I did not get two turkeys. I got two puppies disguised as feathered friends. They need to be near me at all times like Miss Luna. They will follow my voice through the windows or come up on the porches looking and waiting and they follow me all around the yard. When they were still in the brooder in the house, they would chirp and chirp and chirp until they could see me. I once was so desperate for them to shut up, I slept on the floor in front of them... they like to be pet and purr like kittens. Oh and unlike the darn chickens, they can walk through my garden and not destroy it. Who knew I'd be obsessed with these animals. Rose is the female, a golden Narragansett and Rudy is the male, a Narragansett turkey. Rose was bigger at first and initially named rudy.
