Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation Gala
| Wigmore Hall | Friday 14 December | 7:30PM |
With a spoken introduction from Dame Kiri Te Kanawa
Jake Heggie (piano) will be joining Nardus Williams (soprano), Bianca Andrew (mezzo-soprano), Thomas Atkins (tenor), Phillip Rhodes (baritone) and Gary Matthewman (piano).
listening to nardus williams' "handel in rome" recital album- lovely voice, often loses power at inappropriate moments but her use of vibrato is very well-balanced, very good. anyways, my point is that "pien di nuovo e bel diletto" has phrases re-used in eustazio's "col valor," and i couldn't help but find that a bit funny.
