HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME

So I went to see Gatsby today for my senior trip--if any of you give a damn... (spoilers ahead)

I don't know about any of you who have already seen it, but for me it was more like The GAY Gatsby okay (and I don't mean that in an offensive way dude when I say something's gay, it's LITERALLY gay like GATSBY X NICK gay in this case and such and such lol omg)--let's start with that. XD

Leonardo DiCaprio definitely was the GREAT Gatsby, though.  His acting was fucking beautiful like usual and he needs all the awards omg but argh so many feels for his character ;___;

I'm sure y'all would have been able to relate to him because I sure did because social awkwardness.  Lots of social awkwardness when it came to Gatsby. Especially around Daisy.  What's more, Nick acting as his crutch for this was just adorable.  I mean, I read the novel in sophomore year for my English class, and I already shipped Gatsby and Nick then, but this movie just made everything so much more blatant I can't even XD

My evidence:

1) SO MANY CONVERSATIONS ALONE AT NIGHT IN THE WOODS, AT GATSBY'S HOUSE, NAME IT. The sappy romantic--I mean, melancholic music did NOT help at all. XD

2) Touchy feely scenes.  And I mean TOUCHY FEELY SCENES. As in men picking each other up (literally and ideally), Gatsby and Tom Buchanan getting pissed at each other like freakin' tsunderes and putting their foreheads together touchy feely.  Steph and I laughed like there was no tomorrow and I don't care if everyone heard it omg YOU COULDN'T NOT LAUGH and there were so many other people laughing anyway, I mean, SUBTEXT much?  XD

3) GATSBY AND NICK FEELS. So many Gatsby and Nick feels. ;A;  I tried very hard not to even bring Merlin into this since it was a classic and I didn't even mean to, but...oh god big spoilers.

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING when Nick shook Gatsby's hand for the first time, everything went to hell with freakin' subtext.  Wait--even before that, they were already looking at each other longingly from a distance like it was a fucking shojo film.  Except Nick (to me) was more like, "SENPAI NOTICE ME" and skjzfnskfgnskl I can't and then the scene where Gatsby was gonna talk to Daisy was even cuter because it was like Leo was freakin' five okay his social awkwardness was adorable but you'd feel so bad because you'd understand and every time Nick helped him with talking I just...LEONARDO'S BLUE PUPPY DOG EYES OKAY? We've got another blonde puppy in this building XD

Gatsby and Nick in the yellow car.  I swear there was a brief scene where I even thought Nick put his hand on Gatsby's knee when Gatsby put his hands on the steering wheel but idk O.O all I know is that their faces where so close together anyway when they were talking, okay? XD

If you've read the book, you know how there was that scene where Daisy was supposed to tell Tom that she didn't love him and she loved Gatsby but none of GatsbyxDaisy actually went through?  WHEN HE WAS ASKING NICK TO ATTEND THAT TEA PARTY.  He told Nick that Daisy needed him.  And almost freakin' said "I need you, Nick." I.  But he quickly changed it to we, and it was very obvious (at least to me XD).

Gatsby's death BROKE me.  I already knew he was going to die, again because I read the book, but how they played it was just sadder than I was expecting it to be (that closeup on Leo's face though, what the heck? idk if they wanted his pupils to dilate as he fell but...meh i don't care. ^^" I LOVE Leonardo DiCaprio's face.  And his eyes that were just so fucking blue.  Like Arthur's when he--oh fuck right.  Unintentionally bringing Merlin feels into this ugh ;A;  I will not be shitting you when I say that what happened to Gatsby and Nick pretty much mirrored what happened to Merlin and Arthur because Gatsby's eyes were just as blue as Arthur's when he died and THEY BOTH ENDED UP DEAD IN WATER WHY IS IT ALWAYS WATER ;A;  What really broke me though was when the phone rang as Wilson shot Gatsby and it was NICK on the other line instead of Daisy, freaking out if Gatsby was okay because he heard the gunshot and asjkedgnfslknfg no ;A; And then Nick stayed with Gatsby even when he was dead and he slept on the stairwell above where his coffin was and ahhh I couldn't see poor Gatsby dead nope NOPE ;A; and Nick even tried to get other people to go to his funeral (his dad had no appearance like in the book though :'( however I found it nice that Gatsby actually told Nick everything in person haha :'D) anyway NICK ALSO FREAKIN' YELLED AT ALL THE RUDE REPORTERS WHO ATTENDED GATSBY'S FUNERAL AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS SO BADASS AND AWESOME OF HIM WELL DONE DUDE STAND UP TO THOSE STUPID PEOPLE XD  Wait--I stand corrected though. WHAT BROKE ME WAS THE SCENE WHEN NICK WAS STANDING. BY THE BAY. IMAGINING GATSBY THERE AND LOOKING AT HIM.  It reminded me of a certain SOMEONE in his old age walking by a CERTAIN lake called Avalon still waiting for a CERTAIN king and jdkfngslkgnklgn why ;A; More subtext when Nick said that Gatsby "didn't realise that the green light he was reaching for was already behind him" and Nick was literally standing behind the imagined-up Gatsby and hahaha *sobs* 'kay I think I'm done.  Let's conclude this rant post now haha :'(

Beforehand, I already heard bad reviews about the movie, but I don't judge based on that--I judge for myself haha ^^"  I understand that people might have not liked it because it really deviated from the novel and such (and there were quite a number of unnecessary het smut scenes I (and Steph XD) didn't feel comfortable seeing--there's your warning ^^") but overall for me, I actually liked this new twist, despite how very sad it was to see Gatsby die and half of another otp...I just--omg. Yeah.  ;____;

On a better note, Stephanie and I (along with the rest of our friends XD) had a really good time (FIRST time since we'd never gone to the movies together before) and the theatre was freakin' new with comfy leather recliner seats and such and awww best senior trip ever haha :'D  'Kay before I start rambling about unrelated things, I'm gonna post this and go back to reblogging Merlin bye XD

Issues with LJ (for any of you who give a damn =w=")

If you're not in my tags, yes. I have a LiveJournal, but now I don't. ^_^ 

I don't even use it anymore, but kitsunenochibi is officially no more.  It's not you guys, but it's for all the stupid people who keep using my posts to comment spam.

I've been patient with these people for longer than you can even imagine, but I checked my email recently and now I've found out that some idiot managed to hijack my LJ account. :s

Enough is enough. I'm really not in a good mood, and my respect for people in general (not you guys) has significantly dwindled because of this.

CONCERNING BIG BANG 2013 (aka for Merlin fangirls): Like I said, I don't use LJ anymore, so my intention was to completely abandon the site for good, but because I'm joining Big Bang for the last time ever, I made a new account for future posting.

This has been one heck of a PSA, and now I'm gonna go watch Privates to any of this ever happened.
