What started off as practice drawing humans ended up becoming Queen Lucy from Narnia. I’ll likely draw more of these at some point.
@narniamuck might find this interesting!
Meeting of the Stewards
This roleplay takes place a day after their appointments as stewards.
Reception Hall
,[/ /],`,[\ \],`,[/ /],`,[\ \],`,[/ /],`,[\ \],`,[/ /],`,[\ \],`,[/ /],`,[\ \],
You find yourself standing in a roomy, luxuriously-decorated chamber. By far
the most dominating feature is a thick, heavy table that stretches nearly
from one side of the room to the other and is surrounded by a number of
chairs. The chairs have ornately-carved arms and legs, and each is
beautifully upholstered in rich velvet cloth. This assemblage sits atop a
similarly- colored, thickly-woven carpet. The walls all around are decorated
with paintings depicting enchanting Narnian landscapes and the creatures that
inhabit them. There is also a massive fireplace along the north wall that
supports a heavily carved mantle. Many curious trinkets and decorative
articles sit atop it on display. This room is obviously a place where the
Kings and Queens can gather and feast with their friends in small assemblies,
without the tremendous ceremony of the Great Hall.
There is an open archway leading eastward into the southeast tower. There is
also a less noticeable door in the west wall that apparently leads out onto
the south curtain wall of the Courtyard.

Contents: Peridan; A Castle Guard at the West Door; and Wolves and Foxes Game Set.
Peridan is seated at the table beside Lady Avery. They are speaking quietly, and Peridan is smiling at something she has said. There are tea things and other refreshments set out, but no attendants are present within the room.
Oren comes in, taking a seat opposite.
Wintermoor enters as well, his hooves clipping softly on the floor.
"Peridan rises and bows to them both. "Good day to you both. I hope you rested well after all of the feasting?" He resumes his seat once they have found their places as well.
Oren asks, "Quite well. Yourself?"
Wintermoor says, "Very well." He looks Peridan, for his response."
Peridan says, "I did indeed, thank you. It did me good to see the people celebrating again."
Wintermoor nods, "And Mine as well.
"Oren says, "Not all was celebration. Some are still concerned."
Peridan nods once. "Which is understandable and expected, certainly. There has been a great deal of uncertainty, and they cannot know yet if we will fill our new roles well for them."
Wintermoor nods seriously.
Oren says, "Then we had best set about doing so."
Peridan smiles. "Quite." He glances around the table. "Perhaps we ought to start with what sort of governing we are each expecting. Lord Wintermoor and I are, obviously, most familiar with the style of Narnian rule that Their Majesties had, though I know that Archenland and Terebintia are rather different. Have any of you any expectations of what we ought to do here, as stewards?
Oren says, "We are responsible for defense of the nation, for one."
Peridan nods. "Which I am happy to report remains in a strong position, though fortunately we have not needed it in some time. Is that an area in which you have experience and interest, Your Grace?"
"Oren says, "I do. Though some of my experience is nautical. There are few large military actions on an island but I have experience managing soldiers and have read on the subject as well.
Wintermoor quietly listens, pondering Peridan's question.
Peridan says, "It would certainly be well for all of you who are willing to be familiarized with the ways of our army, navy, and the Northern Guard as quickly as you can be." He clears his throat. "At the moment, I am of course very closely involved with the day-to-day command of our forces. Before Their Majesties disappeared, I reported directly to King Peter, and have by default taken up even more leadership under the Council since then, so as to avoid confusion and disorder. Is that a state of affairs with which you are all comfortable?":quietly listens, pondering Peridan's question.
Oren asks, "I am not certain. It may be better to vest the power of the military in more than one person. But what other duties to we anticipate having, before a division is decided upon?"
Wintermoor turns to Peridan awaiting his answer.
Peridan says, "Well, ensuring that our own people have all that they need to live well and freely here at home, of course. Their Majesties did so primarily by working in council with their appointed curiates throughout Narnia, as you may know. I think many of them have felt the strain of trying to do well in those duties while also being here in council so often this past year and a half. It was a hope of the council that our appointments would relieve much of that."
Wintermoor nods.
Oren asks, "So the idea would be to send them home and either allow them to report back on their needs, or for us to visit them periodically?"
Peridan nods slowly. "Not to quite to send them home, perhaps, but to ensure that they will not be as needed here as they are at home, now. I expect it will be a little like it was soon after Their Majesties took the throne--more back and forth than things were later in their reigns when everyone had learned their roles so well. Much can be said by messenger, but until they know us all well, they may wish to see us more directly, I think. But they will not need to be in council every week, at least
Oren says, "It might behoove one or more of us to tour the country in any case, and soon. If there were questions after the announcement, we may expect even more abroad.
"Peridan says, "I agree." He turns to Wintermoor.
"Lord Wintermoor, you have spent more time throughout the rest of Narnia than any of the rest of us have of late. What say you?"
Wintermoor says "There is wisdom in His Grace's suggestion, I believe. There maybe others yet who may benefit from having their questions heard and listened too."
Peridan says, ""Do you think that end would be best served if we (all the stewards) were all to go together, or would it be just as well for us to go a few at a time, while the rest remain to govern from here?”
"Oren says, "I want to go. Perhaps only a brief excursion to a more difficult location. After that I will need to return to greet my daughter."
Wintermoor considers Peridan's question, "While some maybe cheered by seeing their new stewards, I believe we maybe better served to send but a few at a time. In such a manner those nearby with concerns may yet bring them and have them heard.
Peridan nods to Wintermoor, then pauses a moment. "I think that we must consider the needs and wishes of the people more than our own in choosing where and when to go. However, I agree that it is important for the people to meet you, Your Grace, and you, Lady Avery, soon, as fewer outside of Cair Paravel know you."
Oren nods. "I should like to visit the Northern March. From the behavior we have observed so far, it would seem there is great concern among the Wolves."
Peridan nods slowly. "There is. But there is always concern among the Wolves and, while they bear a great deal of responsibility, they also have greater resources to address their concerns, as well as more regular lines of communication with us than do other regions of Narnia."
Oren asks, "What kind of resources?"
Peridan says, "Well, the Northern Guard also keep watch in Lantern Waste, obviously, and they coordinate with Ulfden. They also have a great wealth of experience among their numbers, and a longstanding relationship with Curiate Tumnus, who is, as you have seen, a strong advocate here at Cair Paravel."
Oren says, "That doesn't seem to have stopped one of their member from demonstrating his displeasure in the Great Hall."
Peridan raises his eyebrows. "If you mean the Wolf Dreygan, he is of Winterden. They are the pack from the Great Woods, to the south of here."
Oren leans back. "I see. Then perhaps a visit there would be more appropriate?"
Peridan glances at Wintermoor and Avery. "It might well be, and it would not be difficult to manage. There, though, we must consider that the residents of the Great Woods are among our nearest neighbors, and Dreygan's intervention may also be taken as evidence of their ability to voice their concerns. There are others among our people--those farther away and less accustomed to travel, for instance--who may really be more in need of reassurance from us."
Wintermoor says, "It seems then that our first duty then, is to journey forth and offer what we can in means of reassurance.""
Oren asks, "One of the first, but we were discussing our various duties. We can't offer reassurance without a cohesive plan. The military seems to be in hand for the moment. Have the people enough to eat? How is justice to be administered?"
Peridan clears his throat. "Yes, I think we are agreed that we must make sure things are well in hand here, and then a few of us may venture forth to the places where we may do the most good. As I have said, many concerns--whether related to justice or otherwise--are addressed by our curiates. If they are unable to right an injustice on their own, or if they think they ought not to proceed without our input, they will bring the problem before us. Before Their Majesties departed, they often trusted King Edmund with such responsibilities, though he sought council not infrequently, I believe. Since they left us, the council have taken up any injustices together when there has been need." He pauses. "Hunger is not something I have heard reason to be concerned about."
Wintermoor nods.
Oren asks, "That is good anyway. What of foreign relations? Calormen?"
Wintermoor looks to Peridan
Peridan says, "The council have been loath to make any great changes in the absence of a ruler, but we have done our best to learn what there was to know of Their Majesties' policies and progress. This is, as I think you have all been told, an area in which the council believe Lady Avery will be of particular help to us. Our relations with Calormen have never been strong, but are no worse than they have been since Prince Rabadash marched into Archenland. An uneasy peace, I would call it. Archenland remains a strong and supportive ally, and our relationship with Terebinthia you know."
Oren nods. "That's well enough then."
Peridan walks through the west door.
Wintermoor says, "What are are thoughts on the matter, Lord Peridan? "
Peridan looks around the table at each of the group. "It was my thought that we might wish to find a distribution of our tasks that suits the individual abilities of each of us, so that we are not all trying to do the same work where not all are needed, and where we may not all be equally useful. If we take council together often, I think that we could distribute our work in this way while making sure that we all have the help that we need and are able to govern as one even while we are still learning how to work together best."
Wintermoor nods, "There is wisdom in this."
Oren says, "I agree. My own gifts include trade and nautical endeavors as well as martial. I have experience as well that would lend itself to public speaking and diplomacy."
Peridan nods once without comment and turns to Wintermoor. "And is there a portion of our work that you would prefer to do, Lord Wintermoor?"
Wintermoor is thoughtful as he considers the matter and Peridan's question, "I would endeavor to keep the old things alive, that they may not be lost as they once were. To keep Narnians faith in the Lion strong and his decrees, though I do not know what form it may take. I do not wish to speak for matters where other may be more qualified or have preference, and if there is need for it I will offer what wisdom the Lion gives me where it may be most needed and useful.
Oren asks, "And you, Lord Peridan?"
Peridan says, "I am, of course, happy to continue to provide insight as to how we may best govern Narnia in light of how it has been governed these last seventeen years, but as I have said, I think I can do the most for our people by continuing to oversee our army and other defenses here at home." He pauses, thinking, and then looks around the group once more. "A suggestion, if I may?"
Oren says, "Proceed."
"Wintermoor nods, "Please do, Lord Peridan."
Peridan turns to each as he addresses them. "Lord Wintermoor, I think you are the most trusted of us to guide our curiates in judging fairly and wisely and with full knowledge of our people when the need arises. We will also depend on you to guide us here when what we have learned in our short lives fails us. Lady Avery, I think our people are already learning that you will be a good and attentive advocate for their interests, and will make it known to us if you hear of a need of theirs that we are not meeting. Similarly, I think you are the best suited among us to improve the strength of our relationships with the other countries around us. Duke Oren, your experience in trade negotiations will be of great use to us--I do not think the rest of us possess the necessary knowledge, yet. You are also, perhaps, the best suited to oversee our naval commanders and to go with them into battle should the need arise, whereas I will do the same on land and will work with our people to ensure that they have what they need to emain safe closer to their homes. What say you all to this?"
Oren considers. "That seems a good place to start."
Wintermoor says, "An excellent suggestion, Lord Peridan."
Peridan nods. "That is not to say that we cannot help each other outside of those areas, of course, and we will continue to have the aid of the council." He sits back. "And how would it be if, for the present, those of us who are here at Cair Paravel meet every morning like this to discuss how we get on and seek input from each other on any important matters at hand?"
Oren asks, "Rise before noon? Art daft, man?"
Peridan blinks at him and hesitates before responding.
Wintermoor waits for Oren to explain further.
Oren says, "That was a joke. I run a massive shipping company. I rarely rise after seven. My point is that while we have been given a serious charge, we should remember not to walk around as though we've just attended a funeral. that will not comfort the people. Their Departed Majesties were a merry bunch."
Peridan smiles with a look of relief. "That is so. And when we know each other better, it will be easier to know when we are each meaning to laugh."
Wintermoor's face crinkles amicably. A short deep rumbling sound like laughter echoing from him.
Oren asks, "No doubt. Breakfast tomorrow, then?"
Peridan says, "I look forward to it." He rises to bow. "Your Grace. My Lord."
Oren rises and returns the bow before leaving the room.
Wintermoor offers Oren a bow as well as He rises.
Oren walks out to the tower.
Peridan offers Lady Avery his arm and walks her out.
Lost Log 1
The celebration detailed below takes place before the Melee, but after the Tournament as mentioned in the schedule here.
Gathering Circle, Evening
Gathering Circle
/./././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././.
The forest trees here are scattered across a soft meadow of heather and
wildflowers, and the sun dapples the ground through the leaves above. This is a
wide section of earth, and it seems to be a gathering place, bordered on one
end by a ring of standing stones which have been discolored from the smoke of
innumerable fires. At the opposite end of the meadow, a pair of open pavilions
stand ready. These are constructed of cloth of gold and silver and are spacious
enough for a large group of Narnians to congregate protected from the elements.
The exterior of each pavilion is adorned with seasonal flowers, woven into
y to receive the day's
honored guests. To the south, elegant torches line the path which leads to
Caldron Pool and the waterfall beyond. The noise of the water is muted here,
blending into the quiet music provided by a small group of fauns.

A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes emerges from the under the canopy of trees to the north, moving with great care and seeming to observe every leaf as he passes. When he sees the gathered nobles in the circle, his head lifts a fraction, and he makes his way over to join the unicorn. "Good evening, Commander." Then he bows more formally. "King Edmund, Queen Susan." His eyes linger on the other Sons of Adam.
A centaur with eyes that look like they've seen thousands of years set into a relatively young-looking face.
Carrying: Scabbard and Wintermoor's large leather pack.
Wintermoor heads east, toward Lantern Waste.
Wintermoor heads west.
(After stepping away and returning)
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown blushes somewhat more deeply at Rabadash's words, though from her expression, they do not seem unwelcome. She turns to curtsy to her brother and incline her head to the others recently arrived, greeting them. "Good evening."
Wintermoor makes his way towards the gathering, from the south Cauldron Pool and the river.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes takes up a place at his sister's side, greeting the Calormene prince cordially. "To you as well, Prince Rabadash. Our brother the High King has already informed us of the skill you demonstrated during this morning's tournament, and we wish to extend our congratulations to you as well. We hope you will take equal enjoyment in this evening's festivities--"
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank grins, letting out a light whinny of greeting as the Wolf approaches. "Evening, Subcommander."
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure smiles, teeth very white against his complexion. "You honor me, oh King. I have no doubt that my spirits shall be raised and my soul filled with joy this eve."
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes flashes a grin back at the unicorn, but falls quiet as he observes all of the dignitaries' talk.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair joins his hands behind his back, listening quietly. His expression is thoughtful.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown smiles as Edmund joins them and at his words. While he and Rabadash speak, she takes the moment to properly greet Sir Darrin with a smile as well. "Sir Darrin, were you able to see more of Lantern Waste as you hoped?"
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank twitches his ears, tilting his head a bit as he glances to Darrin and listens.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair smiles at Susan and nods, "I did your Majesty. I particularly enjoyed the Meadow to the South and West of here. It reminded me of the wild flower meadow in the wood south of Anvard."
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes leans a little closer to the unicorn.
Glyn mumbles "... recognize ... ... ... ... who are these other ...", to Petraverd.
A bear with large paws and brown fur emerges from the thicket to the north.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes replies to Rabadash, his expression difficult to read but clearly not unfriendly. "The honor is entirely ours, we assure you. It is our hope that this visit will serve to strengthen the amicable relationship which exists between our countries. We appreciate the effort which was expended for you and for our friends from Archenland to journey north to join us for these festivities."
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank lowers his head to reply to the Wolf, gesturing vaguely - enough to provide indication, but not so much as to be overly overt.
Petraverd mumbles "Sir ... of Archenland, and ... ... Prince ... ... ... ... with His Majesty.", to Glyn.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown gives a gentle nod at Darrin's words. "I am pleased to hear it. I am unfamiliar with the meadow near Anvard, but if I recall the one here of which you speak, it is a lovely meadow."
A mouse of regal appearance emerges from the thicket to the north.
Wintermoor nearing the gathering, he sees the assembled royalty and bows.
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure's expression, in contrast, is open with its flashing grin. "An effort that has been repaid manyfold by the greeting I have received and the wonders I have been shown since, Oh King. My heart likewise yearns for a time when our two lands may be at happy peace."
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes nods his understanding. "Ah. The ones for whose honour this festival exists."
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank simply nods to Glyn. He flicks an ear at the current topic between the Queen and Knight, and grins slightly, with what may be construed as a quiet sort of pride.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes states, "Your words do you as much credit as your blade, Prince Rabadash. We cannot but be pleased when our hospitality is received so well. At some point, we would be most interested to hear your reflections and observations after your tour through our lands. Tonight, however, is more suited to revelry and dancing. We have heard that the cooks have prepared some Calormene dishes as well, based on your servants' specifications, and we are looking forward to sampling them ourselves."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair glances at the wolf and moment before returning his gaze to Queen Susan. "It is very lovely--and a good place to think. I did find the rusted kettle rather curious, tho. I was hoping someone knew the story behind it."
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure bows again, one hand coming up to his chest. "I had thought some of the fragrances coming from the tables familiar. I can but hope they will be to your taste and delight you as your own delicacies have me."
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes studies the foreign nobles with some curiosity, matching eye contact with Darrin for a time. He nods politely enough, but cants his head at the question. "I've not heard that story myself," he admits, "And I've lived here for some time..."
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown says in reply to Darrin. "Unfortunately, I do not believe I know that particular story." She brings her attention back to Rabadash and Edmund as she notices the Calormene Prince bow once more.
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank twitches his ears. "I believe it was once the home of a bird, with whom the meadow now shares a name, although I confess I do not know much more than that."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair chuckles, "A simple story, but a pleasant one." He smiles at the wolf and studies the creature with more interest. "You are the Subcommander of the Watch?"
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes answers, his expression as formal as his words, "We have every expectation that they shall be to our tastes." He shifts his focused attention to encompass Darrin as well at the latter's remark. "We suspect, Sir Darrin, that our sister Queen Lucy will be able to enlighten all of us. Her knowledge on such topics rather exceeds our own. Is that not so?", he inquires, directing this last to his elder sister.
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure falls, for once, to listening, though his expression is rather less intrigued than the rest.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes nods in answer to Darrin's question. "I am Glyn, of Ulfden Pack, serving under the Watch Commander." He makes a slight gesture toward the unicorn. His ears flick at the sudden question to Queen Susan.
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank grins a bit, adding after Glyn, "A fine Wolf and talented fighter, to boot."
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown smiles. "Indeed, Queen Lucy may be one who would know such a story. She has a gift for recalling such topics, as well as an interest in them."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair smiles and nods, "Queen Lucy is a very imaginative and engaging Queen, especially when it comes to her country. I should very much like to discuss the history of Lantern Waste with her."
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes gives a single nod, evidently pleased by this. "We trust you will have ample opportunity of doing so while you are here, Sir Darrin. Queen Lucy will be delighted." He smiles at Susan in return. "She does indeed. Rather like your gift when it comes to Archery." He turns back to Rabadash and asks amiably, "Are you as comfortable with the bow as you are with the scimitar, Your Highness? Perhaps you might wish to join in with the rest of the archers when they provide a demonstration in the coming days--"
DreamChat> 2013-Jun-01 17:34:12: Dusk joins the Dream Chat Channel. (System Announcement)
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure flashes another smile, though he dips his head in a show of modesty. "I have been taught how to send an arrow sailing straight, though my heart holds to the scimitar. If I hear truth, however (of which I have no doubt), I shall not be able to stand against the skill of the Queen!"
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes's ear folds at the unicorn's words, but he smiles. Canting his head toward Darrin, he observes with a grin, "There is only one way to find out, that I know of, and that's to compete. I hope that you will."
Wintermoor solemnly stands and observes the conversations taking place.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown had similarly turned to Rabadash to hear his reply to Edmund's question, clearly interested in his response. She smiles. "If it would please your highness to participate, I should still enjoy seeing your skill in the demonstration."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair nods eagerly, "I should like to see you shooting myself after our conversation the other night. A man who dares a dessert lion must have a straight shot indeed."
OOC> Darrin says, "your"
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure spreads his hands to the side, dipping his head again. "In that case, so it shall be! I would be honored to compete once again!"
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes's ear flicks at Rabadash's elaborate gestures.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes listens as a servant approaches and announces that the feast is prepared and then offers his sister his arm to escort her toward the tables. "We also look forward to that, Prince Rabadash. If we tarry much longer, however, our offended cooks may well see to it that none of us are able to make the experiment", he quips, adding a small, formal smile to his words. "Shall we see what they have prepared for us?"
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown takes Edmund's arm and nods her agreement, smiling. "Indeed, I think that we should. I am very curious to sample the Calormene fare they have prepared."
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure steps up to walk on Susan's opposite side. "Few things would give me more pleasure, oh King."
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank glances to Glyn, gesturing himself with a question in his expression.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes rolls his shoulders to the unicorn and nods.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair takes a step back to make room for them to pass.
A son of adam wearing spectacles emerges from the thicket to the north.
Edmund offers to lead Susan.
Susan decides to follow Edmund.

/./././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././././.
The best word for this spot might be grandiose. To the west, water roars from
a fall, where a river somewhere in the western wilds crashes over Narnia's
western border-cliffs to form the great, churning Caldron pool, deep and
cold. In the lee of the cliffs, long tables groan under the weight of
platters, plates, and dishes of food. Fragrant spices of southern origin waft
through the air, suggesting that some Calormene recipes have also been
included among the selections. Tasteful arrangements of flowers, most growing
naturally around the pool, decorate each of the tables. The head table has
been elevated so that it is easy to watch what goes on there, even at a
distance. Fire pits have also been provided, should the feasting continue
after dark has fallen. After the Calormene fashion, piles of embroidered
cushions are set a little apart from the feasting tables for weary diners to
recline in comfort.

A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure arrives from the north.
King Edmund stops Susan from walking with him.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes makes his way toward the high table with Susan beside him. As he passes, he compliments the cooks on their preparations, pausing to take note of the various dishes provided for the feast.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown similarly thanks and compliments the cooks as they pass. She releases Edmund's arm when they reach the head table and she takes a place at the table.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes glances up the unicorn, waiting for his lead in this affair.
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank flicks his ears, glancing about a moment before he gestures toward one of the other tables, making his way in that direction.
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure walks alongside the Queen, examining the spread as he passes. He too finds a place at the head table, as near to the Queen as he can manage.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes casts a curious glance at a pile of embroidered cushions as he moves to join his Commander's side.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair follows behind the Royals and moves to a table off to the side. He quietly thanks the chefs and cooks, complimenting their skills.
A son of adam wearing spectacles takes a seat at the same table as Sir Darrin. He acknowedges the cooks, some with a few words, others with his eyes or a nod, but doesn't speak with them nearly to the extent that the other nobles do.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair givs Tyre a welcoming smil and greets him quietly.
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank tilts his head as he glances over the fare, swishing his tail.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes is seated near his sister and Prince Rabadash. He casts a glance in the direction of their guests from Archenland, speaking a few words to Susan as he does so.
Wintermoor makes his way to a table with some Narnians, but can also where he can stand comfortably
Edmund mumbles "... ... ... ... ... ... and Sir Darrin ... feel ... ... ease, Su--from what ... ... they are ... ... be ... for ... prowess in the ... Perhaps if there ... ... ... ... ... ought ... ... ... ... ... ...", to Susan.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes comes to sit beside the unicorn, peering over the table himself, and quickly locks in on the meat platter.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown similarly glances in the direction of the Archenland suitors. She nods and speaks a few quiet words in return. "I similarly hope that they feel at ease, and I have expressed our commendation to them about the tournament. Perhaps you should say a few words to encourage everyone to eat, and then I will go invite them."
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure looks towards the nobles and does not quite manage to look disappointed at the current seating arrangements.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes rises with another nod at his sister's words. "Very well", he states. His voice carries toward the rest of the tables as he addresses the crowd. "Our friends, subjects, and esteemed guests. We bid you welcome on this evening of celebration. Please make yourselves at ease as you enjoy what has been prepared for you. To the participants and victors in today's events", and here the younger king raises a goblet, "We extend to you our commendations once again. You have each accomplished something to take pride in. Enjoy your revels, for they are well-earned." At the conclusion of this toast, Edmund signals the servants to remove the covers from the heaping platters of food and they start to circulate and serve the guests.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes's ears prick at the mention of victors. He leans to the unicorn. "I had to miss the tournament this morning. What happened there?"
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown smiles as she raises her goblet as well, glancing to each of the participants, though her glance perhaps lingering slightly longer on Rabadash. When Edmund finishes his toast, she sets her goblet back down and rises from her seat. She makes her way over to Darrin and Tyre and says quietly to them, "Lord Tyre, Sir Darrin, please, would you join us at the head table? You are also our guests of honor."
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank perks his ears as the King speaks, directing his attentions toward the head table. He glances back to Glyn at his question, grinning a bit. "Quite a performance. Prince Rabadash there took the victory, with Sir Darrin taking second. The Prince had quite the bout with the High King at the end - much that could have been learned from it all. Particularly intrigued by some of those parries they showed, rather different from the techniques I'm used to seeing."
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure also toasts with the King, inclining his head modestly. He does, however, briefly meet the Queen's eyes, his mouth hinting at a smile. Once the toast is over and the King has finished, he plucks a loaf of saffron bread from one of the servers as it is offered to him.
Rabadash pulls Loaf of Saffron-Bread from A Platter Heaped with Breads.
A son of adam wearing spectacles rises hastily, managing to catch his chair before it actually falls over. "Oh! Yes," he bows, also hastily, "Thank you, yes, of course."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair raises a goblet to King Edmund's speech and smiles. He is about to sit and address Tyre when Queen Susan makes her way to them. He reamins standing and bows at the waist and nods, "It would be an honor to join you, Prince Rabadash, and King Edmund, your Majesty."
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes gives the appearance of considering the unicorn's description carefully. "I see... and who won the bout with the High King?"
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank helps himself to a selection from the breads himself as he says, "His Majesty did. Quite an impressive display from the both of them through the whole thing, though."
Petraverd pulls Fruit Bread from A Platter Heaped with Breads.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes helps himself to a slice of the Saffron Bread as well. "Ah", he observes. "
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes says, "One of our particular favorite dishes, Prince Rabadash. An excellent choice."
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown inclines her head with a smile. "Thank you." She motions to the table and leads the way, retaking her place at the table by Edmund and Rabadash. She sits and takes a bit of one of the Calormene dishes that have been prepared.
Wintermoor pulls Roasted Apple from A Basket of Fruit and Nuts.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes nods, displaying a small smile and an appearance of satisfaction. Peering about the table, he takes in the astonishing variety of beasts, finally taking note of the centaur. He is captivated by the sight for a moment, saying nothing.
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure samples the bread, then flashes his smile at the King. "You have fine taste indeed, oh King!"
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank continues, "Speaking of such things, though, I'm curious as to what your thoughts are as far as tomorrow's events go."
Rabadash eats a delicious piece of saffron bread. Don't you wish you had some?
Petraverd eats a piece of Fruit Bread, it looks quite good.
Susan eats some eel stew. Given the look on delight you are very tempted to try it for yourself. The aroma is certainly tantalizing.
Wintermoor eats the Roasted Apple. It tastes sweet and is warmed perfectly throughout.
Susan eats some eel stew. Given the look on delight you are very tempted to try it for yourself. The aroma is certainly tantalizing.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair follows Queen Susan to the table, taking the seat beside Prince Rabadash. He bows at the waist to the Royals once more before and waits for Queen Susan to be seated before taking a seat and sampling the fare.
Darrin pulls Fruit Bread from A Platter Heaped with Breads.
A son of adam who is crowned and dressed in ceremonial robes answers the prince with a smile of his own before following his sister's lead and sampling one of the Calormene dishes on the feasting table. He savors it with evident enjoyment, taking his time as if attempting to judge the recipe from the dish itself.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes (Glyn) speaks up to Wintermoor. "Good evening, Master Centaur," he says carefully.
Wintermoor turns to the wolf, greeting him and speaking with him for a short time before excusing himself.
A son of adam wearing spectacles sits at the end of the line, eating as unobtrusively as possible.
A daughter of eve wearing a jeweled crown delicately samples some of the Calormene fare, looking pleasantly surprised as she does so. She comments to Rabadash, "I am unfamiliar with the spices that are used in this dish, but it is delightful."
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair begins with the more familiar Narnian and Archenlander food, then decides to try some of the foreign dishes. He reacts to each Calormen dish in a thoughtful manner, but it is clear which foods he favors. He leans over to his cousin and quietly converses.
Darrin mumbles "... should ... ... dessert--it's ... ... ... ... dishes. I ... warn you, ... ... a bit ... ... ... ... it, ... ... ... ... ...", to Tyre.
A son of adam who cuts an attractive figure's expression becomes one of satisfaction as he sees King Edmund enjoying some of his country's fare. Taking some himself, he smiles once again. "You have masterful cooks, to be able to so swiftly reproduce the food of my home!" He transfers his attention swiftly to Susan, grin growing. "My heart lifts to hear your praise, oh fairest of Queens! There are many, to add to the complexity of flavor, and I must admit I myself am not even familiar with all."
Wintermoor discreetly excuses himself from the feasting, bowing to the monarchs, then then nobles and nodding towards the wolf and Unicorn.
A son of adam with bright blue eyes and light brown hair nods to the centuar and smiles.
An unicorn stallion with a marred flank nods toward the Centaur, before eyeing the fruit.
Petraverd pulls Roasted Peach from A Basket of Fruit and Nuts.
Petraverd eats the Roasted Peach, finding that the flesh inside is cooked perfectly.
A wolf with grizzled coat and emerald eyes eyes the centaur and nods politely as he leaves.
CC-CHAT> Wintermoor says, "Step 1. Get more than 1 centaur on at a time. Step 2. Take over Narniamuck."
CC-CHAT> Miriam says, "Done and done."
CC-CHAT> Antheia says, "I can see we better watch you guys."
CC-CHAT> Miriam says, "Hey..your one of us ;)"
CC-CHAT> Antheia says, "Oh yeah!"
CC-CHAT> Antheia says, "Okay, I'm down."
CC-CHAT> Wintermoor says, " Step 3 Add a forth Centaur, who happens to be an awesome amazing staffie. All the better."
CC-CHAT> Antheia says, "good thing i'm amazing or that would have been a bummer"

A lion with pale fur turns towards the sound to hoof steps. "Why Hello!"
Wintermoor comes along the path, seeing the Lion. ""Greetings."
A lion with pale fur says, "It's been quite awhile since we've had a centaur in the pridelands. What brings you out this way?"
You say, "the Road has led me far in my journeys from the falls of the swift river, to Sted Cair, wherein is the Castle of the four thrones. And now leads me back."
A lion with pale fur dips his head, "That is a long road indeed. The falls of the swift river you say," he pauses for a moment, "That must be some ways off. I don't recall hearing of it."
You ask, "The river took me south, so I am following it back North. Pardon me, but what is your name, my friend?"
A lion with pale fur says, "My appologies. My name is Kurgeri of the Northern Pride."
Wintermoor gives a stiff, small bow. "I am Wintermoor. Formerly captain to the majesties before the winter.
A lion with pale fur bows in return, "Ah, then it is a pleasure to meet you Wintermoor.
You ask, "do you know the way north?"
A lion with pale fur nods, turning he points upstream, "The river bends north not far from here. Do be careful though and stick to the river. To the Northeast is the Ettinsmoor and there are many unpleasant things that live in there."
Wintermoor nods in almost a knowing way to the last part of the Lion's reply. "Aye."
A lion with pale fur looks towards the sky, "Well it is getting late. If you need to rest before you continue there is a thicket just to the north of here that is safe to sleep in."
Wintermoor nods. "Thank you, Friend. I will keep to your words. It has been a long time since I wandered the land.
A lion with pale fur nods knowingly, "As it has for me. I appologize if I cannot be more helpful than pointing you north but it has been some time since I left the pridelands myself.
You say, "you have been help indeed, friend. Aslan's richest blessings upon you. "
A lion with pale fur says, "May Aslan guide you on your journey."
A centaur with a solemn expression comes trotting toward you from the east. A centaur with a solemn expression is an adult female Centaur, with ash-blonde hair and grayish-green eyes. ====> A centaur with a solemn expression is the picture of health.
A centaur with a solemn expression makes her slow way to the river's edge, periodically stopping to gather some of the herbs growing near the bank. These she adds to the pouch she carries. There is nothing hurried about her actions; she moves with deliberate care.
Wintermoor continues following the river, it looks like he has come quite a ways. His expression is neither happy nor sad, but more of a brooding serious look. He does not see the female centaur
A centaur with a solemn expression concentrates on her task, her own face never lightening. Though the morning is warm, she does not act as if the heat affects her.
Wintermoor continues along the riverbed, looking up briefly to make sure that he does not stumble. As he draws closer, he does see the female centaur intent on her task.
He say, "Madam" He says, as one would say "Good Morn, Madam, or good day.""
A centaur with a solemn expression glances up, pausing long enough to tuck some strands of hair behind her ears and out of the way. "It was foretold that we would see one another this morning. Good day to you as well", she intones.
He asks, "Has your gathering been fruitful?"
A centaur with a solemn expression nods soberly to this. "My master will be pleased with my progress, I hope. He wished me to broaden my knowledge along the way from Beruna, and to that purpose I have applied myself diligently."
Wintermoor nods solemnly, "I had heard their was a faire there, and that their majesties were there."
Wintermoor muses. "It has been long and long, since I have seen their Majesties. Young they were, just foals then.
A centaur with a solemn expression calmly adds a bunch of yet another herb to her pouch. "That is so, though I kept busy without taking much time to enjoy the festivities there. There was much to be done and even more to learn." She gives the other centaur a long glance. "Your face is not unknown to the Council Ring, I think, though you are right to say that it has been some years since last you were there."
Wintermoor nods gravely.
A centaur with a solemn expression nods as well as this is confirmed, her features reflecting not even a hint of surprise. "Am I known to you, then?", she inquires gravely.
You say, "Nay, Madam. I have seen many faces in many years, but I do not believe your face is known to me."
A centaur with a solemn expression brushes off her hand before extending it. "Calderain", she states simply.
Wintermoor takes the centauress’s hand and kisses it in knightly fashion, "Aslan’s blessings on you, Calderain."
A centaur with a solemn expression does not shy away or look offended at the courtly gesture. "To you as well. We are well met, it seems, though you have yet to give me your name, Sir."
Wintermoor gives a bow as best as a centaur can, the man part of his body bending forward a bit. His arm crossed crossed his chest, his fist on his shoulder in salute. "My Pardon, Madam. I am Wintermoor. I was captain before the winter.
A centaur with a solemn expression takes in this name soberly. "Wintermoor", she repeats. "The stories about you precede you."
You ask, "Stories, Madam?
A centaur with a solemn expression replies, her tone grave, "It is our privilege to remember what has been, after all."
He nods, "You are bound to the Council Ring?"
A centaur with a solemn expression nods at this. "I am. I must make haste, for my master will be expecting me, and there is much still to learn from him."
You ask, "Might I escort you, Madam? As befits a knight too do?"
A centaur with a solemn expression nods at this. "Though I am not in need of protection, I will not decline companionship along the road."
Wintermoor nods. "Then lets us make haste, and follow the way back.”
