Aurelio grabbed the gift he had for Isabeau that he was hiding under his checkout counter right before he closed up for the day.  He was sure Isabeau would love it, and he gently handled it as he made his way home.

Isabeau looked distracted in the kitchen, her hands wrist deep in a pot of loam. Aurelio snuck up behind her and hugged her, sneaking a kiss to her cheek. Isabeau startled, turning to look at him and smiling.

“I have something for you,” Aurelio said, pulling the package from his pocket.

“You do?” Isabeau asked, turning fully. She took the package and opened it, revealing a small box. Giving Aurelio a look, Isabeau opened it, revealing a delicate silver chain necklace with a stargazer lily as a pendant. “I love it,” she said, tears brimming in her eyes. “It’s so pretty.”

Aurelio smiled. “I’m glad. Let me help you put it on?” Isabeau let him, and she stared down at the pendant.

Isabeau kissed Aurelio’s cheek, saying, “Thank you so much. I love it.”

OC Kiss Week Drabble 2/2 for the evening

Quincy padded down his stairs and into the kitchen, mostly still asleep. He wasn’t awake yet, wouldn’t be until at least the first cup of coffee hit his system. Setting up the coffeemaker was something Quincy didn’t even need to think about, nor was kissing the top of Elian’s head when he blearily saw Elian sitting at the small kitchen table.

Elian smiled at Quincy, cheerfully saying, “Good morning.”

As Quincy sat at the table he mumbled something that could be taken as a good morning, though it sounded more like “Mergle.” Elian chuckled, watching Quincy as the coffeemaker finished, gurgling, and Quincy stood and got a cup, eyes closed like he knew exactly where everything was.

About ten minutes later, Quincy was actually awake enough to look at Elian. “Did I kiss you this morning?” he asked.

Elian’s lips quirked into a smile. “You did, but I don’t think you were quite aware of it.”

Quincy smiled back. “Maybe I should fix that.”

“Maybe you should.”

The culture of the world will be one of the more important parts. This isn’t particularly detailed, but it should do for setting up political boundaries. I based these off of real world cultures so that I could draw analogues. I’ve also provided some basic detail on which species dominates which culture. As you’ll notice, the humans span most of the northern continent.

The southern continent is more split. This will be a source of strife in that area.

Migration routes are done! If you’re wondering how the parrots got past the ocean there, according to the tectonic plates it’s possible for a landbridge to be there. During one ice age or another, that’s when they moved down south.

The parrots mainly occupy tropical regions.

The lizard and dragons stay in relatively warm areas, including average temperate and tropical areas. Their home will always be the desert, though.

The moths mainly migrated into colder regions, staying in temperate, arctic, and cold temperate zones.

The arthropods remained in temperate and tropical zones. They avoided the desert, however.

The dwarves stayed in their mountains. Woop dee doo.

Humans spread all the way across the northern continent but were not in time to use the land bridge like the parrots. Instead, they occupied the large islands.
