patches! the red ones are most recent, with fabric from a haori. it took me a long time to start taking it apart bcos it was so beautifully constructed with hand sewing techniques. i decided to go ahead since it has new holes on top of the old sashiko style repairs that were already there. it's fascinating learning about how it was made through deconstructing it💖
