Naruto Chapter 549 - "Itachi's Question"

As to be expected when two big characters meet on the battlefield in Naruto, there is a hefty amount of dialogue... and unfortunately I think it works against Itachi coming across as a good guy. When he was the outcast and general enemy of the world he had a presence about him which seems to dissipate when he's being kind and caring almost.

No question that what is going on with Naruto right now is similar to that which happened to Sasuke when he saw Madara's sharingan. The real question is going to be what is going to come forth... if Sasuke has Amaterasu then surely Naruto will have something equally impressive.

Naruto 549 or Proof Ninjas Can Have Cool Fights While Talking

After the last chapter I was really excited for this one because Nagato/Itachi team-up. Based on pure combat ablity, I think they are greatest pairing perhaps even beating aMadara/Fourth team-up. But anyway there's lots of action following a very brief reunion courtesy of Kabuto(love how he just gets to the point). Nagato and Bee learn somewhat of Itachi's mission, Itachi complements Naruto on his progress(albeit backhandedly), Itachi is not happy with Sasuke for his current actions and is clearly pissed at Madara. Anyway Nagato is capable of using all of the paths in his one form and Itachi seems skillful as ever using his normal mix of genjustsu and fire techniques that almost get Bee if not for Samehada. Also it seems that after 500+ chapters, Kishimoto has finally achieved a balance between fighting and dialogue as this chapter progresses rather smoothly without stagnating. Apparently Nagato can't walk...I mean last time we saw him he was in that giant chair and Kabuto brought him back as is, so he instead summons creatures; including the Cerberus with the Hydra cloning ability and that creepy Crow. Anyway the highlight of this chapter is Naruto telling Bee to stay away from tsukoyomi , to which Itachi replies lets see what happens. Itachi turns on the mangekyo in his right eye targets Naruto and on the next panel a Crow with a weird shaped pupil comes out of Naruto's mouth! FINALLY we get to see the power Itachi left for Naruto... maybe it stops his genjutsu, casts it back, or maybe seals all the Mangekyos powers either way next chapter should be eventful at the least.

Just finished reading the new chapter of Naruto...

It started,,, and I was like,

Itachi, Nagato, Naruto, and Bee were talking about Sasuke and him getting stronger.

Then Kabuto decided that there wasn't enough action and made Itachi and Nagato start fighting Naruto and Bee.

Then—then—then— Itachi made the crow he gave to Naruto come out. OMIGOSH!!!

So what's gonna happen next?

I have concluded that any chapter with Itachi Uchiha in it is already certified to be a fucking epic chapter.Kishimoto you did good...real good

this chapter was fucking amazing we got a fight, we got talking but it was stuff we wanted to hear, plot development, and Itachi and Nagato what more could you ask for ?
