Ah the beach...
Since the summer weather was in full swing, naturally people were flocking to the beach to enjoy it. The sun was shinning, seagulls were flying around, and there was a really nice ocean breeze. Tenten and her friends were some of the many that went down to the beach, which naturally meant their boyfriends were coming along for the ride.
Once there, they didn’t waste a moment getting the fun started. Ino took Sasuke by the hand and made a b-line for the ocean. She shirked because of the cold water but happily went for a swim with her boyfriend. Karin and Itachi set up the umbrellas and picked a good spot to just sit back and relax. Despite the heat, Karin enjoyed cuddling up next to Itachi under the beach umbrella. Hinata took Shisui seashell collecting. He liked to tease Hinata about that being what kids like to do but she was indeed a kid at heart.
As for Tenten? She and Madara decided to walk along the boardwalk. Of course she wasn’t going to do the others things that everyone else was doing, but she wanted to see what the boardwalk had to offer. Holding hands with her boyfriend, the couple walked along visiting different stores and vendors until they got bored.
All in all, it was a nice day for the couples to enjoy. They all stayed at the beach even when the sun was setting. It was a perfect excuse to get nice and cozy with your boyfriend on the sandy shore.

Day 3: Ice Cream Together

“Mahh, why does it have to be so hot today?!” Sakura whined while walking through the city pavement with her boyfriend.
Summer was in full swing, which meant the heat was to follow as well. Sakura wasn’t the biggest fan of being hot and sweaty, but thankfully, Neji knew a way to remedy that. They were on the way to an ice cream parlor for frozen treats.
“Look on the bright side, we get 3 months of this lovely weather.” Neji teased his girlfriend.
Sakura stuck her tongue out as they arrived at the ice cream parlor. The AC was a welcomed feeling as they met up with their friends: Ino was with her boyfriend Sasuke and Tenten was with her boyfriend Naruto.
They had waited for Sakura and Neji to arrive so they could all order together. The group of teens enjoyed themselves with the ice cream they all got, laughing and reminiscing on their high school adventures. Hard to believe they were going to be seniors in the coming fall. Time was truly flying by.
When it was time to part ways, Neji walked Sakura home but noticed how quiet she was.
“Something bothering you?” He asked.
“Hm? Oh it’s dumb don’t worry about it.” Sakura answered.
“Doesn’t matter, what’s up?”
“Mmm! Well, I’ve just been thinking: We’re going to be seniors and all, but once we graduate we’ll all be going to different colleges...” Sakura explained. “What if we stop dating cause we loose touch?”
Neji paused for a thought before putting both his hands on Sakura’s shoulders. “Then let’s not loose touch.” He told her. “Let’s do our best to go to the same university, that way we won’t have to break up.”
“You mean that Neji?”
“Absolutely.”
Sakura beamed before she bear hugged her boyfriend. “Alright! Let’s do our best then!”
Day 4: Heat Wave

It was another hot day in Konohagakure. Most weren’t really out and about as the sun was beaming down on the village. It was better to try and stay inside or try to stay cool someplace. For the children of Konoha, they were doing a mix of the two. A small group of five children were having fun and hanging out by a small creek. They were laughing and having a good time with their feet in the cool rushing water.
“Haaa! The water feels soo good!” Ryuri Uchiha said with delight as he sat by the creek. “This was a good idea Shinzachu.” He told his best friend.
The young Nara boy smirked. “Not to brag, but I am full of good ideas!”
“It’s definitely better than being in the hot sun all day.” Suhori added.
Both Ayanomi and her younger twin Naganji nodded in agreements as the blonds put their feet in the water as well.
The were among the newest generation of genin. Having worked hard throughout the year, they were all eager to take the chunin exams to rank up. But for now, they were enjoying their time as genin in the summer. When it was time to part ways, the children went home. Ryuri arrived back to his home and was greeted by one of his younger brothers, Shinjiro who was playing with one of the pet cats the family had.
The younger Uchiha happily hugged his older brother and told him that their father had got them watermelon to share. The two boys went side to see their father cutting the watermelon into slices for his three sons. Their mother was happily holding their newest edition in her arms. A baby girl named Satako, who was eagerly observing her brothers with a pacifier in her mouth.
This was what the Uchiha family liked to do to beat the heat. Tenten and Sasuke wouldn’t trade the joy their four children experience for the world.
Day 6: Kite Flying

What better way to spend a nice breezy summer day, than go kite flying with your husband, your two kids, and your best friend, his wife, and their kids. That was Naruto’s thought process when he pitched the idea to Gaara and to Sasuke. It was a nice day and it’d be a shame to waste it not enjoying it. The three men brought their children along for this as well. Yusuchi was an eager and bubbly 8 year old that the two Kages adopted after they were married. Daisaru came into their lives after their first anniversary together, and is a happy-go-lucky 3 year old. Meanwhile Sasuke and Tenten had one boy named Kyorata who was the same age as Yusuchi and a little girl named Ichisuki who was still a toddler at 2 years old.
The two families found a great location, a clearing with a breeze blowing through. With kites ready, they were thrown high in the sky and the wind took care of the rest. Their kites flew in the air and the kids were mesmerized by it. The older ones were all too excited to hold and watch the kites in action. The fun seemed endless for the kids, but the adults had decided a good hour was enough to sate their energy. Of which they had a lovely picnic afterwards. It was safe to assume, they would be doing this again real soon.
Day 7: Watermelons are yummy!

Summer was indeed in full swing now. The heat, the cicadas and dragonflies, and of course the summer crops. Tomatoes, Corn, Okra and other vegetables along with stone fruits, different kinds of berries, but the favorite of this town, watermelons. Sasuke was busy with his older brother Itachi and his Cousin Shisui harvesting some of the crops the Uchiha farm was growing this season: Tomatoes, Okra, Cantaloupe and Honeydew Melons. The summer had been good to them, there was a nice big bounty of fruits and vegetables to harvest.
Sasuke wiped the sweat from his brow with a hat protecting his head from the beating down sun.
“Sasuke! Tell your brother and cousin to come in and take a break! Your wife brought watermelon for everyone!”
His mother Mikoto called from the large farmhouse where the four cats were relaxing under the shade.
“Kay!” He replied.
He collected the basket full of ripe tomatoes and called Itachi and Shisui over. Once the three men were inside, they were greeted with glasses of water with ice and Sasuke’s six month pregnant wife Tenten, happily chopping one of the three watermelons.
“Ah, you all did a lovely job!” Mikoto mused.
“Heh, this ain’t even all of it, we still got a lot left to pick.” Shisui chuckled.
Itachi nodded in agreement. “We did good this season, they’ll be a lot left over for us too.”
“Guess the good harvest is contagious.” Tenten said as she set the plates of watermelon out for the men. “Shikamaru and Choji had extra watermelon so they said it was a congratulation gift for the baby.” She laughed a bit.
Sasuke gave a playful roll of the eyes and stole a quick kiss to his wife. “I’ll be sure to pay them back. I’m sure they won’t mind some extra corn and okra.”
“Yeah but for now, I think we will enjoy the watermelon.” Tenten teased back before happily helping herself.
Having been married a year and now expecting their first child, Sasuke and Tenten were enjoying the most out of their lives together so far. They met as Tenten’s father owned the tools shop for Konoha and Sasuke would often see her there. Sometimes she would come over to the Uchiha farm with tools and they in turn gave her pleasant company. It was only natural that their relationship would bloom into romance. And ironically enough, their first day was the two of them alone, hanging out by the river at night, eating watermelon and watching the fire flies.
