The 1.3 Billion-Pixel Photo from Mars

This week NASA released a 360-degree interactive panorama of Mars from Curiosity rover’s point of view.

The stunning image is a compilation of over 900 photos which the Curiosity Rover took while parked in an area designated as “The Rocknest” from October to November of last year. With the photo viewers are treated to a panoramic view of the Red Planet in stunning detail.
