"I have lost my pain" by Thrace. She's a very famous writer from my old LotS fandom and I was beyond excited when I found out she moved to clexa. I knew it would be good stuff. After the long initial introduction to Clarke's illness in this story, your mind will be blown off. I never expected this turn. It's modern AU but at the same time it's not. She's just a fucking genius, just as she was back 7 year ago on LJ. I'm full of nostalgia. Go for this story!

Oh yeah, I highly recommend everything written by Thrace. One of the most talented authors in the fandom, for sure.

Thrace’s Within Me An Invincible Summer is still in my top 5 Clexa fics of all time and I Have Lost My Pain is somewhere in that top 5 too.

Lol, I wondered when someone would ask me this. Truthfully, I hadn’t picked out their ‘real’ names but they’re probably something really suburban, like soccer mom names. So let’s go with Susan (Octavia) and Patricia (Raven).

@naschpitz I haven't read Kings & Queens but it does sound epic. I think I read everything by Thrace and pirateygoodness on LJ. The one about Kahlan being pregnant sounds familiar.

I actually noticed that the other day and nearly hyperventilated. It’s very surreal for me when authors I fangirl over bookmark or kudos my fic. I mean, I have literally been following her work for YEARS. I think the first thing of hers I read was an Alias Star Wars AU in which Sydney Bristow was a Jedi so that was even before the LotS days.

Removing it would kill her so Titus & Roan help Clarke to escape & she takes Lexa to the trading post. 3 months later Clarke finds out she has awoken but the swelling on her brain caused by the Flame has caused amnesia & she remembers nothing of her previous life. Despite her friends warnings Clarke vows to restore Lexa to power and Raven & Monty work to reactivate the Flame
